The story follows a struggling rock musician who attempts to get his career back on track, so he locks himself and his band in a recording studio overnight to come up with new music. In this process the group ends up sampling an old recording with an ominous voice hidden inside the track, which somehow opens the gates of hell.

There's a slight error in the previous update -- instead of the film premiering at Cannes, a promotional reel will be shown, and it'll get a theatrical premiere this Halloween in the UK. Here's what director Eitan Arrusi had to say about the project: "I am thrilled to be making this independent British movie with such an impressive young cast on board. Horror movies have always been my passion and REVERB has been inspired by classics such as The Conversation and The Shining."

He adds... "Music plays an important narrative in the film so I am very pleased to be working with the hugely talented music producer Jack Knife Lee who has written the signature track for the film."

You can check below for the first pics for the film, which will make its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. If you live in the UK you can check this film when it's released on Halloween. Currently there's no US release date.

I watched the trailer for this. Interesting concept, but I have my doubts about how it will turn out. Looks like a direct to DVD release to me, but who knows?
