Rachael Taylor is set to star as the new bride in this film, which is a remake of a 2004 Thai horror film, to be directed by Japanese director Masayuki Ochiai.

DETAILS

- Filming in Tokyo.
- Japanese director Masayuki Ochiai also did Hypnosis and the Parasite Eve film adaptation.
- Written by Luke Dawson.
- No surprise that Roy Lee (The Ring) is producing the remake with partner Doug Davison via their Vertigo Entertainment company. The duo also produced the Dark Water remake.
- You can read my review for the original here, notice in it how I mention how I'd prefer the film to not get a remake.
- A remake of the 2004 Thai ghost-flick with the same name.

The only good thing about this movie might be the poster... and i dont think thats quite enough to even bother to talk about the movie...there where not really scary moments and the plot seems so familiar with The Grudge... anyway this is so far the worst horror movie i have seen in 2008

This movie was disappointing, I won't lie there were some scary parts, the ending made me laugh though, but the really bad part about this movie is that there were no surprises. You pretty much know what happened and well the movie didn't even attempt to surprise you with any twists.

This movie sucked so bad. It is lower than dirt I can't begin to tell you. Waste of money.

I just got back from seeing this, and i was completely let down. They made the story seriously lame, and took the three most memorable (to me, anyway) scares.

I am so freaking tired of Hollywood giving their horrendously, lame and watered down version of awesome Asian cinema. Please just stop!!! They continuously ruin the plots and meanings backing up these great works and blatantly remove what makes them an actual horror movie. They have no imagination anymore. This is why I stick to independent films and foreign cinema for my horror movie experiences and collections. We need more directors and creators that are not afraid to really show the true horrors in our society as well as the rest of the world. STOP WATERING DOWN ASIAN HORROR MOVIES!!!
