A ten-year-old girl awakens alone in the middle of a devastating contaminated land full of violence and war. She soon discovers that those that survived the military’s mass executions are people which have severe infections on their bodies. The young girl finds solace with a group of other young children, whom all share the same recurring dream of escaping to the sea. This becomes the children’s only objective, but before they can reach their destination, they must cross through the ruined city, populated by the violent military and the “infected.”

this would make a great companion piece to world war z, but in this movie the military aren't heroes so.....that might not be possible.

This sounds lie a cool idea, at least for a zombie movie. Children as the lead characters, evil military men, and more infected crazies. Sounds like something decent in the genre.
