UHM - Suspiria (Remake)

This project was seemingly dead after numorous years have passed, but life is blooming in it once agian, with news that an Italian-based production company called First Sun will put out this remake. They were quoted saying the following: "We intend to create a concept that will encompass cinema, video games, fashion and music and that revives the original for those who did not experience it. The Gothic resurgence is very strong around the world at the moment...and we feel that a new version of 'Suspiria' will fit very well." What a waste.

DETAILS

- This will be an English-language film.
- Produced by Italian-based company First Sun.
- Mimi Leder was first set to direct when Dimension was still involved.
- Dimension Films was originally interested in this project when it was first announced.
- The original was the first film in the dubbed "Three Mothers" trilogy, with the last film finally being made in 2007.
- A remake of the 1977 cult film by Italian director Dario Argento.

Oh yes lets remake a masterpiece. Yes, I called it a masterpiece. It was the last film to be shot in technicolor. Not only is the film a visual feast but, the score also made the film so unique and eerie. Supposedly Argento will be supervising this remake but, it still worries me. Maybe Uwe Boll will direct it. Ugh gag me!!!

The original Suspiria is an artistic excursion in tactile impresionist horror. It fully encompasses the viewer. It absorbs you. The directing is simply the best use of vantage and aesthetics in any horror movie ever made.
A remake is a ridiculous idea. A reinvention is more plausible.

Granted, sometimes a remake is better but rarely. (Britty, love the mmm-kay...just watched Office Space, u rule). NEWAY, would watch this one just to say i saw it but probably won't waste money til is in $5.00 bin at Walmart. I already have the original, what more could u ask 4?
