This was supposed to be Carpenter's return to the director's chair, but it has been on "hold" for a few years now and now he has other projects on his plate. The last I heard, there were funding problems.

I have to agree. Cigarette Burns was very creative. It was something I have never seen before. It kind of freaked me yet I couldn't stop watching it and I wanted to know see more after it was over. I have faith in Carpenter. He knows how to pull off a great movie.

I, like most people, was very dissapointed when Carpenter released 'Gosts of Mars', however with his Masters of Horror episode, "Cigarette Burns" I feel he has completely redeemed himself and proven to everyone that he has NOT lost his touch. This movie sounds like it would be very generic, but some of the best horror movies of all time had very generic plots. It all depends on the execution. We'll jsut have to wait and see....
