Things are moving along for the unecessary sequel. It appears that the actresses that played the characters of "Sarah" and "Juno" will return, and the premise can be read above. Filming is set to begin shortly in Scotland and London's Ealing Studios. More updated details on the project can be read at the bottom.

8.30.07
At the Film 4 FrightFest in Britain, Neil Marshall revealed that editor Jon Harris will make his directorial debut with the film. Jon has served as editor for various films, including the first Descent, and Marshall reportedly said there was no better man for the job. The script is currently still being worked on. Thanks to Fango.

7.29.07
Shock spoke with Descent creator Neil Marshall recently, where he revealed that the silly title above indeed is the actual title (for now anyway). He also went on to say how he won't write or direct the sequel, but he will be involved in the story-making process, as he and the producers have thrown some ideas around, one of which plans to bring back the lead from the first, "Sarah". Either way, the project is still in the very early stages and won't happen anytime soon.

7.25.07
Added to the database.

i was personally pissed when sarah had the nerve to trap juno in the cave by herself at the end, i know its a movie. but think about it, juno went down being a great friend and make sure sarah made it out alive, and sarahs bitter ass backstabbed her just because her husband clearly loved him some asain chicks.. lmao which i don't blame him! junos freakin hott!! anyways i hope juno kicks sarahs ass in the 2nd one!!

UK Ending ROCKS! SPOILERS****
Makes you think she went crazy and killed them all...and that there were actually no monsters.....very interpretive.

Looks good. Been waiting for this. And since there will be no sequel to Dog Soldiers now, it looks really good. However from the stills above, I can see the creatures in the film have been changed slightly. I wonder if this is on purpose (like an upgrade), or if they've just got different costume/make up designers or summit.

Michael,
That's the UK ending you're talking about, the original ending. They changed the ending for the release in the states and the movie ended before she woke up back in the cave, leading the audience to believe she had escaped.
I personally think the UK version is better.

And after watching the trailer for the sequel, I have decided to boycott the movie. the first one was great. I was excited when I was finally able to see it. However they should have left well enough alone. there are too many movies out that are cheesed up and ruined by second class crappy sequels. The Writers, Directors, Producers, etc.... need to quit ruining the franchises. The Thing..... Great movie. and stayed great, why? they didn't make a sequel. they left you with Kurt Russel and Keith David sharing whiskey while their camp burned down. You have no idea if David has been infected or not. Not hating on the De2cent, but I don't expect to much from this movie.....

correct me if I am wrong but at the end of the U.S. version Sarah did not make it out of the cave....... she hallucinated her escape. yea I was rite. I just watched the ending. and it clearly does show her escaping, however when she throws up and the 18-wheeler drives by she snaps out of the hallucination and is back in the cave, having a Hallucination of Her dead daughter presenting her a Birthday cake. watch it again....... she does not.... I repeat does not escape.
