The story is basically about a pair of small-time criminal brothers who steal organs from corpses to sell in the illegal transplant market. Once their products start to fall short, they take it upon themselves to make their own.

- Mark Cousins and Kees Kasander are set to produce.
- Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting) wrote the script.
- Robert Carlyle also starred in Ravenous, also directed by Antonia Bird.
- Antonia Bird will start production on this film next spring, after finishing Abraham's Daughter.
- Based on real life "body snatchers" William Burke and William Hare in the early 1800's, which also inspired the 1945 movie The Body Snatcher and the 1985 movie The Doctor and the Devils.
