This is one of those moments where I question the intellegence of film makers. I the producers seek a wider audence that have trouble reading subtitles. I would just dub this one and let the audience figure it out. It worked for High Tension. This is a great atmospheric thriller has some genuine chills. DON'T REMAKE THIS FILM.

This is beyond retarded. I just this movie last month! And now its going to be rehashed?!?! WTF?! I don't care if Del Toro is involved, this is just too stupid. The movie was great as is, there is no need to remake it. Why remake it? I like foreign films as is not "Americanized." Fuck! I hate Hollywood!

Well at least del Toro has some part in this.

holy crap, this is the same as they did with the original Ring, One Missed Called, and other horror japanese movies, that's racism.
What's next, remaking Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon with american actors?

I just saw The Orphanage and it was very good, but the fact that they already want to remake this is retarded. It's a great film and needs to be left alone. The original I give a 9/10 though.

Ok... most American remakes aren't that great. They lack the essence of what makes the originals so appealing. However, Americans are lazy, and hate the annoyance of subtitles. And dubbing would be a worse choice! lol. For foreign films to be remade into an english version isn't really all that pathetic. I think at least. Especially when an original maker (like in this well del toro) returns to help out us dumb Americans :D it's going to have some sort of authenticity to it and won't be complete poop.

That's why american horror movies are going downhill. They ran out of plots so they just want to purchase whatever "original" idea is out there.

Again? First [Rec], now this. These movies aren't even OUT yet and we're remaking them already!
