Oh and besides there's hordes of cannibals eating people, most
likely alive so that could involve alot of blood, guts, gore and not to
mention a whole lot violence. So how can you not see this as a horror film/movie aye? Their's fu kin cannibal's in the movie!!!!! Get
with it look them up if you don't fully understand what the hell type
of relenting and disgusting people they are and how they still live
and survive among us today, they still prey and eat upon the living
in Mexico and Texas today. So get with the program and stop being
an idiot and saying "This looks really good, but I don't see how it's really horror." Wake up!!!

if this has some deacent gore in it than it could be what TOOTH AND NAIL should have been. sorry but that movie is lacking. you would think with a tittle like TOOTH AND NAIL that the climax of the film would indeed be people fighting each other quite savagely but no. the b-tch just drugs some meat and then waits for the cannibals to get all druged and lathargick and so she can proceed to verry lamely put some war paint on and kill them pracktecly in there sleep.

i have read the book the road and found it to be one of the most thought provoking stories i have read in a long time. despite its length i found myself not being able to put it down and finished it in a two days. The idea that it is a rip off of tooth and nail is really just some closed minded thinking. It is an original story that has so much to offer as if focuses on the relationship between a father and son who are left to deal with a world gone south, truely a piece ment for an active mind and not someone looking for end of the world destruction images. While it shows the horrible world that they live in, it is more focused on a fathers love for his boy and the journey he must make with him to save the boys life while knowing that his time is running out. if you don't believe me, read the book, if you still feel that way, then your an idoit

how could it be a rip off of "tooth and nail" if there is a book. If anything "Tooth and Nail" ripped off their idea from this book. God people are so stupid! Btw, Cormac Mcarthy Wrote "No Country For Old Men" as well as a score of other books.

there may be a book but it sounds like a rip off of 2007's film to die for" tooth and nail". That was a good movie. I hope this is good too, it does have viggo in it but has guy pearce, he is not a good actor, and charlize theron is overrated and that being said the gore may be what will be lacking and if oprah liked it I garantee there is no gore, Cannibals have gore without it its just a waste. Midnight meattrain is what I am waiting for.

Good book, i try to tell my friends to read it but they laugh at me because it has an oprah book club stamp on it. Thanks Oprah. It should be a good movie. the book is a quick read so it should translate well without leaving many details out. As long as the director and actors know what they are doing

If Viggo plans to be in this then it should be good! Plus a little of Charlize can't hurt.

My girlfriend and I were driving home from Portland,OR Friday 5/9 and drove through the filming of this movie. It was very unexpected because we were just taking the scenic route home. It will be great to see the area in the movie. I guess they were there at Horsetail Falls for 1 week.

I read The Road before Oprah decided that it was cool enough for her book club. This is not a horror novel at all. The cannibals are that way because of having no food in this desolate world, not radioactivity. This is more about the human condition, the lengths that we would go to for those we love. The book brought me to tears. I would be quite interested in seeing this translated to the big screen.

Yeah I'm not an oprah fan either but I've stumbled across a few of her "book club" books, and I have to admit that they usually kicked ass. Never read, "The Road" but I find it funny that Oprah picked a horror novel. Might be decent. However, I'm never too positive about film adaptations- a book has countless hours to tell a story, whereas a film only has 1.5 to 3 hours, so it usually sucks. I don't know. Who does?

Cool! I don't support Oprah by any means, but this sounds pretty good. Hail radioactive cannibals!
