I've updated the cast, namely with Dylan Walsh (Sean McNamara in FX series Nip/Tuck) set to play the stepfather. They're aiming to deliver more of a Hitchcock-style thriller as opposed to the original, which was more slasher. Filming is aimed to begin sometime in March or April '08.

You call the original a classic and say NOBODY CAN PLAY THAT DUDE FROM THE ORIGINAL. Okay, you dont even know his fucking name. The actor from the original is Terry O'quinn and yes he was awesome but why do you all hate remakes so much. So what if they aren't as good. I think they are for the most part...DECENT

Why would they remake this pure classic?!!!!!!!!!! Now it's going to turn into some lame ass slasher film, and the lead guy won't even be super psycho. I bet he won't even do the nude scene at the beginning!!

the origanal was good i liked it so this one should b great if not bettter depends if they keep to the same lines as the first if so should b intrestin to see if they can top the first.....

Hmm...I have yet to see the original, but I really want to see it! However, with a script written by the man who wrote The Covenant and Wicked Little Things, this will probably be pretty bad.

So the original was totally awesome and... I guess I'm an optimist... I hoped deep down that this remake wouldn't be awful. Judging from those clips, though, this looks like it's going to be yet another stinker.

Im not too thrilled about this remake but Dylan Walsh looks alot like Terry O' Quinn...good casting.

Oh no! They can't remake this movie. It is classic. No one can play the father like the original dude. They need to stop witht he remakes for real.

can't wait for this move. saw the original years ago. pretty good. not all remakes suck. the halloween remake kicked ass. thought it was better than the original. saw it 4 times. 3 times opening weekend, and once the following weekend. saw it twice on 9/1 and again on 9/2 with my bro and 2 cousins.
