The Tripper

Set in the Redwood Forrest at an outdoor music festival. The story centers around a group of young hippies as they set out on a drug-induced weekend of debauchery. Little do they know, in the woods lurks a crazed madman that is obsessed with Ronald Reagan.

LATEST NEWS

4/18/07
I've added a link to another clip from the film. Also, the movie will be opening this Friday to a limited 50 theaters. Click here to see which theaters will be showing the film.

4/15/07
Head over to the trailers area to find a link to view the first 6-minutes of the film.

3/27/07
To go along with the new poster (above) and the new pics in the gallery, the trailer can now be seen. Also, it looks like there was slight misunderstanding with the release of the film in the previous update. David is still releasing it independently, but will still keep the original release date. Thanks to ComingSoon for the pics.

3/21/07
The film won't be getting an April 20th release like originally scheduled. Apparently David didn't agree with the distributor wanting to change the release again, so they parted ways. I'm not quite sure what the point of leaving was because now the film will be released in even less theaters and won't have a definite release date considering David is now going to release the film independently. Head over to his myspace for more info.

2/26/07
Take a look above for the new artwork, which looks very familiar to another film.

1/11/07
The release date has been pushed forward from June to April.

12/25/06
The film is reportedly getting a June 1st limited theatrical release.

11/16/06
After Dark Films will distribute the film under a limited theatrical release in the first half of next year. In the mean time the film will also screen before audiences in a very limited 30 to 50 theaters as part of the After Dark Films horrorfest.

10/05/06
You can check below for a bloody new pic, courtesy of BD. You can view more, including new promo art at David Arquette's Myspace page (link on your left). Lastly, the film will make its world premiere at ScreamFest LA on October 13th.

8/24/06
Six months after the films initial announcement it's already in post-production and some pics can be found below, courtesy of it's myspace page.

Saw this last night. I was pleasntly suprised I must say; we get cool splatter-gore, fun characters, some good political humor (the acual undertones I din't enjoy), occasionally good comedy, and suprise full-frontal nudity. A 6/10 for this crazy, tripped-out movie.
