Things seem to be moving along, as director Victor Salva has given Fango an update as well as a few production art photos. He also spoke enthusiastically about the project, saying: "The Watch has, for me, the best of both worlds in the horror universe, something that takes the audience on an incredible journey through darkness and into the unknown. A journey that escalates quickly into a heartstopping and unforgettable rollercoaster ride full of believable characters and great action and horror setpieces that we have not seen before."
He then added... "The film, set in World War II, follows a group of American soldiers in a snowbound forest, who find themselves battling a supernatural force the Nazis have unleashed to help them win the war,” he says. “I was brought on to work on The Watch when the project was at New Line. John and Daniel’s original screenplay has a remarkable idea behind it. I believe The Watch has the potential to be a horror milestone—not just because of its originality, but for its pure scare power. Decisions are now being made as to where and when production will take place."
