Trick 'r Treat

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem... the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety—human and otherwise—try to survive the scariest night of the year.

LATEST NEWS

4.07.08
Originally set for an October '07 release, then bumped to an October '08 release, apparently that release wasn't set in stone either. Word is that the WB has dropped the film entirely, leaving it up for grabs for another distributor. No official word on this, but it would make sense considering we haven't seen the project budge since last year. Thanks to STYD.

8.02.07
The rumors of the film losing its October 5th theatrical release and moving to sometime in 2008 have recently been confirmed. On another note, the film has received an R rating for "horror violence, some sexuality/nudity and langauge".

7.22.07
The official trailer is now available.

4.18.07
I've added a couple new stills to the image gallery, courtesy of DC.

4.15.07
The creepy teaser poster can be seen above.

11.16.06
Things are moving along with the project, as a handful of cast members have been added, with filming set to begin tomorrow in Vancouver.

11.02.06
Added to the database.
