- A script has been written and it's now shopping at various studios.
- Plan B will produce.
- Scripted by J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5)
- It's said that owning of the rights sparked a bidding war between Paramount and Brad Pitt's Plan B production company, with Warner Brothers and Leonardo DiCarprio's Appian Way on the other side of the table.
- Paramount Pictures owns the movie rights.
- Based on the new novel by Max Brooks (The Zombie Survival Guide).

Both books were awesome as I hope this movie will be as well. Could you imagine if his dad did a zombie flick? "Mel Brooks Presents: Diarrea of the Dead!" ...nah. His would be better...

The film will be based off of the book "World War Z: an Oral History of the Zombie War" by Max Brooks. Not the Zombie Survival Guide as the article suggests.

Gonna Be A Documentary Type Of Horror Flick. Shaky Hand-Held Cameras Used. Just Like In 28 Weeks Later. Make It Realistic.
