Dimension's future plans include 3D sequels to Hellraiser & Scanners!?

In Variety's article on Dimension's future horror slate, producer Bob Weinstein is apparently busy trying to get a lot of horror franchises jump started again. "I’m heading back to my franchise films," Bob said as he surprisingly revealed 3D sequels for Hellraiser and Scanners.

Also, the previously announced An American Werewolf in London remake will now be in 3D. Dimension is also developing a remake of Children of the Corn (no relation to the one airing on SyFy) and they're working to get Halloween 3D released next October.

Bob was quoted saying "These films are our strength and we are committed to doing them in style." and added "there is no question that financing is readily available to produce and market these films. I am eager to expand our scope in the 3D business."

SO you say Bob, so you say. Curious to see what's going to be the next big thing after 3D.

Stare Remakes, sequels, and almost everything in 3d?
This BS needs to cease. All this extra cash to make the movies in 3d could instead be used to make better quality movies rather than having a bunch a mofos trying to show off how 'cool' 3d is in their films. Say like ruining a cool scene to point a pitchfork at the screen (ie Ft13th 3d)
