Even more SCREAM 4 talk
On potential rumors that returning chracters such as Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) would finally get killed, he was quoted saying ”the thing about 'Scream 4' is that there are a lot of twists and turns, so I can't promise anything." Considering that we're already told that we'd be following a new group of characters through the next three sequels, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Sidney did die in the film.
As fans are aware that the series loves to poke fun at the genre and the stereotypes we've all grown accustomed too, Williamson was quoted saying that in the next films they'll have subtle references to more recent changes with the genre and mainstream cinema in general... "I've [included] manga comics, Asian ghost girl movies, there's some PG-13 horror movies in there, vampire movies, M. Night Shyamalan movies and torture porn movies, even though they've come and gone."

Scream 4 ?!?! .. dont make me laugh!
The first one was ace.. the rest were terrible. I certainly won't pay so see Scream 4 on cinema... Scream 3 was definately a rotten tomato, why are they even thinking of another one.
Billy and Stu were top as the killers, no-one can be better than them.
Oh and SYDNEY MUST DIE !!! : P

I love Sydney and I wouldn't want to see her killed off. I missed her character in the third one. If they do kill her off, they had better do it right. But where can you go from that?
I love the first Scream film, the other two are okay, but nothing spectacular. I want the next sequals to be as dark and story oriented as the first one was. Make the humor subtle like in the first, not blatantly obvious like in the third. If they can't do it right, just leave it as a trilogy...please!
I'm sure I'll go see this, but I'm not expecting to be blown away. I could be wrong however. When the first one came out I was 15 my friends and I and saw it like 6 times in the theater. If anyone remembers it did so well in the theaters they re-released it a few months later I believe. There's no way that would happen in this economy lol the second one was okay to me, the third was eghhh. I only watched it once, so yeah:) I'm okay with remakes, I think it's become fashionable to piss all over them because people love to gripe about everything. People just can't relax anymore.
They would never rerelease it in theatre anyway since they're starting to shorten the window between theatrical releases and dvd releases.
I'm okay with remakes but this isn't a remake. I'll still see it but I want to see who the final cast is.
from what i read right now the movie sounds like it could be intresting and something new!!! killing of Sidney would suprise everyone but in a movie like this we need suprises. i like her as and actress and loved her in the movies but if they are going to start freah best if they do kill her off makin everyone go WTF!!. i heard david and courtney are comign back as well. so it should be fun to watch and see what new things they came bring to this already great story line! part 3 wasnt my fav but yea makin another three and hopin they dont kill it should b fun to watch!
I am very interested to see where they take the story on this one... and how will they escape from the boundaries of a TRILOGY...

I agree with the people that are saying they don't want Sidney to die. I think she's what makes Scream awesome.
I thought the Scream trilogy did well. But going back to the well one to many time will just add up to just another shitty movie. Though if they can keep the feel of the first movies, then it might work. But then again this is Hollywood that hasn't had much luck with resurrecting old horror franchises. Its too early to say much but let's see what happens.
I liked the first three SCREAMS, but I think they should just leave the SCREAM franchise as a trilogy and not give it the "Nightmare on Elm Street/Saw" sequel treatment. And they definantly shouldn't kill off the franchise's main heroine. And is it me or is this turning into Courteney and David's movie, I noticed SCREAM 3 seemed to focus more on their characters instead Neve Campbell's, like the first two movies did. Anyway, I think SCREAM 4'll taint the prestige of the original movies. They should just wait another 20 years and remake SCREAM'S 1-3.
why would you want them to remake a film that you could go rent at a blockbuster? i wont even get started on remakes tho
. but the thing i like about this is that this sequel will stop a future remake of this film. i mean atleast there's originality in the film. face it if they dont make a sequel people will just f*** with the original. so i say let more sequels come so i dont have to spend 10 dollars on something i can rent for 3 dollars.
I REALLY dont wanna see light hearted comedy in this like in Scream 3 it was BULLSHIT if i wna see a comedy i will watch a Paul Rudd Seth rogen movie. they should make it more serious like the first movie. i dont believe making tons of sequels ruin the original MAKE 10 who cares but make them good and a movie u can take seriously...by scream 3 i was like ALL THE MOVIE TALK IN THE MOVIE IS PISSIN ME OFF why isnt as good as the first Scream?!!...u have to make a horror that can sit next to the remake of texas chainsaw massacre 2003 and friday 13th 09 and hold its own...if any originals die i think sydney or dewie not gale or that will be CRAP
I just hope they stick more to the horror side of the story and not so much the comical side like they did in Scream 3. I wanna see more gore & darkness in these movies like in the 1st Scream. I don't know how I feel about killing Sidney Prescott, I guess it would kinda make sense after so many people coming after you for some crazy obsession or another, you can only escape alive so many times.
