When a mysterious young girl and her father move into the complex, Owen finds an unlikely friend in Abby. There’s something different about Abby… she only ever seems to come out in the dark of night. But as the two get to know each other in the building playground, their friendship deepens, affording each of them the unconditional love and acceptance they crave. When Owen finally learns just exactly what makes Abby so mysterious, their devotion and bond become unbreakable.

I'm not all that impressed with the trailer to be perfectly honest. I had heard that this film was supposed to be a closer adaptation of the book, not a scene for scene remake of the Swedish original. Now obviously I haven't seen the movie yet, but judging from the trailer... which features more then a few images that appear to have been jacked directly from Tomas Alfredson's masterpiece, This Matt Reeves version is a lot less concerned with doing it's own thing than I had hoped for. Now yes the cast is great, Cloe Moretz is an extremely talented young actress and all that, but I have the feeling that this film will sink itself with extended dialogue scenes and probably more special effects. But that remains to be seen, and provided the film earns itself an R rating, I will still go and see it.

Unfortunately, originality seems to be sacrificed more and more these days for some safe, formulaic rip-off. We else would they be remaking and destroying so many classics. Now, I'm an open minded person and I don't just hate remakes for the sake of it but I'm just calling it like I se it. Cloverfield was just alright for me. It had the whole new shaky cam feature but Reeves isn't doing that here and he doesn't have a large JJ Abrams production to fall back on. I'll have to wait and see for myself.

I'd find it hard to believe from the trailer and that it's from Overture that it won't get an R rating but you never know these days. So many remakes have been ruined. Even Stepfather had a PG-13 rating and it sucked.

Having enjoyed the original film, I have to say, the trailer looks good. Chloe Moretz, at least in this trailer, seems to fit the part. Hopefully they release the full trailer soon. Crazy

I enjoy the original Let The Right One in and found Tomas Alfredson's vision to be most palatable. I don't know so much about Matt Reeves as a director but this looks like a change in contrast Cloverfield and this is much more in line with the kind of vampire movie I would like to see as opposed to Twilight. Chloe is wonderful too. I enjoyed her in 500 Days Of Summer and Kick-Ass.
