this is cool i would very much like to see another trilogy of resdient evil movies i enjoyed the first 3 and now that hes going to be using the same system as james cameran did im interested in how it will effect the look. but there is one major problum that needs to be delt with. anderson stated he wants to leave the aspect of the games and pick up were the movies r leaving off so do that dont keep adding stuff from the games and if u do wich would also be fine dont fuck it up like he curently is cast the right people people who fit the charecter the chick playing jill is fine in both ways haha but clair could have been someone else but ven she was passable. but wentworth miller as chris wtf wtf wtf how did they find that exceptable in any way he looks nothing like chris especially from the 5th game wich is were there basing him off get with it paul.

I'm a fan of Paul and if Afterlife works, I am open to following this rebirth. If it's in contention for the poor storytelling the third one delivered I will loose interest in the series. Personally. there ha to be more than just the 3D tooling to advocate more films. I hope he doesn't become a whore to this new technology. Let's see where the story goes...

So he makes a trilogy and in the same decade decides he wants to re-tool/rebirth it? It's like multiple endings to a film. Why? You make a movie and then can't decide how it ends? Just make a new series. Man, later this decade, movies are going to have version numbers.

Screw that shit... I effin hate the films havent seen the second or third film yet just because the first one pissed me off. Resident Evil shouldn't be in 3D that is just gonna ruin it completely, and having the first film based more off of alice in wonderland was just pathetic (that's were the character Alice came from btw) Where is Leon I havent heard any thing about one of the most important characters from the game.. Barry Burton? Rebeca Chambers? Ada Wong? What about the Birkin family? the films are completely screwed now that Anderson fucked it up... Thankfully he dropped the Castlevania project tho, I'd hate to see him fuck that up too.

Here's the thing....These movies may not appeal to all and they may not live up to the games, but how many movies actually followed the games they were made from? ONE, being Silent hill which was a fantastic game to movie. To throw insults at anderson, isn't going to get you anywhere. Without anderson(not saying that you like these movies) you wouldn't have follow up to Alien and predator, or movies like pandorum, or even anyone to take on resident evil movies. We can argue all day with all sorts of opinions and views, but when it really comes down to it, would you rather watch the cgi shorts of the video game put together into a movie, or watch a different view. All great films made today have been modified from original precedence to adhere to something new. And by my calculation, his films do rather well, and if they hadn't, he wouldn't be making more. That's all i got.

As far as Resident evil based movies go these films are crap, as far as zombie movies go these films are crap. Now the main part of the problem Anderson is going to retool and reimagine the franchise he already unimaginatively ruined before, it's like curing someone of a horrible disease just to inject them with a flesh eating virus. He should just walk away and give Resident evil to someone who would do it better.

dont mind some differences in story or plot, but making characters up that just seem (i know this will sound weird, it being a zombie series and all) unrealistic. Alice takes the fun out of these films for me personally.

why are people so funny about things like this. yes we are all fans of the games. no, the movies do not follow the games. why should they??? i think id be bored if it was just a straight game into movie, game into movie. movies are supposed to be different with SOME, if not ALOT of SIMILARITIES. but never exactly the same. the movies are entertaining enough.

Re-tooling...? REBOOT is where it needs to go...3D May make or break this generation, at least its not as bad as the original "3D movement"!

I've read about the past five or six comments here, so I am just going off that. Resident Evil has always been about the action -and- the horror. What do you people expect? You can't do much in the storyline without stepping on toes, so they decided to do what almost all the games, short of the first three or so, did...and that's make an independent storyline. In the world the movies take place in, the games storylines are not in tact...it's -independant- of them. Yes, a lot of the characters are used, and yes a lot of the creatures from the games are used. So many people give these movies so much flack because they didn't stick right to the video games. Don't get me wrong, I am not a -huge- fan of the movies, but you guys make it out like the world is going to implode because Resident Evil films aren't the exact same as the games. In my honest opinion, they wouldn't have been very interesting at all if they would have stuck to the the same storyline I have played out in a game five hundred times. The movies are mediocre at best, but the way people judge them is definately wrong.

I thought for awhile that I was one of the very few who believed Anderson fucked up the RE movies so bad. Now after reading these comments I know there are other fans out there who understand that these movies are a disgrace to the legendary game.

I hope it's not going the direction of the past two movies but is mostly based on the first! Can't wait to see this re-vamping in 3D.

Paul listen, you need to stop. The first 3 RE movies were absolute shit. Its obvious to every fan of this legendary game series that you don't know what the FUCK you are doing.

Why don't you let the series go and then hopefully in 5 to 10years someone who was actually a fan of the games can do a reboot that follows the stories and characters that we, as fans, love.

Not him again, Paul Anderson does not understand what Resident Evil is about. Its horror not action as he really messed up on the last three movies. I just hope he uses characters from the games in the new movies or I won't bother to watch it. Resident Evil is more then just monsters, but the characters such as Jill, Chris, Leon, and Claire are important as well. Lets hope this time around, he will make the movies actually be about resident evil

i love these movies and cant wait for the new trilogy, but im not sure about the whole 3-D thing, im sick of seeing movies come out in 3-D now-a-days!!

hopefully this is absolutely nothing like the other movies and isn't a total abomination to the game franchise... that'd be nice.
