Romero's new zombie flick finally has a title! Plus new pics
George A. Romero's latest zombie effort has had the title "...of the dead" for some time now, where many fans speculated it would eventually be called Island of the Dead, being that it's appropriately set on a small island town. Luckily the film didn't receive that name, and according to this year Toronto International Film Festival listing, it's now titled Survival of the Dead (not bad).
You can check the film when it screens at the fest this September. Meanwhile, some new pictures can be found below. Click on the thumbs to head to the gallery for more.

Romero has never made a bad movie in my opinion He is the true Zombie king! Lol. He is pure awesome and I can't wait to see this movie. The clip was hilarious
Romero has been my idol for years my love for his films started with Day of the Dead, and when i was finally able to see one of his dead films on the big screen i was ecstatic. i went as far as taking my 7 yr. old daughter to see it, she is a fan as well now. i cant wait he has never dissappointed me with a dead film yet and i dont think he will ever. Dont get me wrong althought i am a die hard Romero fan Fulci was a master in his own right.
Romero has given me countless hours of entertainment. I'm just glad he's still makin' the zombie shit. Romero is the creator.
i am very excited at the prospect of seeing the master back in form. i am confident it will not disappoint. if it does, it's all his fault, not mine.
allbadass :davie:
It will hopefully be better than Diary of the dead.
All hail the king!
Will there be a theatrical release? that would be good. and does anyone know if he's going through dimension Extreme again?
hopefully this is as good as diary of the dead haha shoooot me now
:suicide:
I love romeros work and i cant wait to see this movie
The Return of the Living Dead 1 & 2 were awsome dont get me wrong but there is a reason why Romero is popular and its that he basically pioneered the zombie genre there really hasnt been anyone worthy enough to take his throne maybe one day someone will take these films to the next level, but as it stands nobody stepped up to the plate yet. Im proud to say im lookin forward to wat Romero has next.
this pure crap, Romero is over-rated. the real master of the Zombie genre, was and always will be Fulci. the only good Romero, film was the original "day of the dead". i know, i know, what im saying is Blasphemy but the greatest Zombie Movies aren't Romeros's. I don't see why he is so, popular. people are crazy, and the reason real horror is dying
all of you Romero, fanboys need to wake up and watch some real Zombie films.
-Return of the Living Dead
-Return of the Living Dead II
-Zombi 2
-House by the Cemetary
-City of the Dead
I agree you need to lay off that crack man Romero created the zombie genre before him there wasnt shit, its easy to come in and do something creative once someone else thought up and created a blueprint for it. Now dont get me wrong Fulci was the man he gave us some of best zombies movie ever made but Romero had the edge he did it all first. Thats why everyone loves and respects him thats why hes so popular, I think your the one who needs to wake up and reconize that hes a legend.
Lay off the crack bro...
Fulci is fantastic in his own right but Romero invented the sub-genre, whereas Fulci simply mimicked it.
Both directors are great.
The bottom line is 3 of the top 5 zombie movies are Romero films.
i ahree fulci was amazing, but , u can't discount romero's movie's. i to love day of the dead and dawn is one of my favorite movies of all time. hopefully these will be better that dairy of the dead. it was to preachey and not nearly enough zombie action.
Sounds terrible. He should of just called it "....Of The Dead" and made it his final Zombie Epic.
Can't wait , nobody does zombies like Romero.
God, wish I could go to TIFF and see this on the big screen! Hopefully it gets a theatrical release.
sweet looking forward to this
George A. Romero You scary the shit out of me every time and it never seems to fail. There should never be a shortage of Zombie movies or the end of the world may really happen.
Little side note World War Z rocks.......
With out you Romero I would still be making fun of old scary movies. Thanks for the years of throwing my covers over my head for protection you are the best.
•º_º• maybe in 3-d...first 3-d zombie movie would be good
