Tales From the Crib is now American Nightmares and it's available now!

It was early 2017 when word broke that the guys behind TALES FROM THE HOOD (Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott) got back together to secretly work on a new anthology called TALES FROM THE CRIB. It was believed to be some sort of spinoff or quasi-sequel of sorts to Hood, but not much else about the movie was revealed. This was exciting news for fans like myself that have been waiting on a potential sequel to the first movie for years. Unfortunately, any further information on the project would ultimately be overshadowed by the duo officially moving forward with an actual sequel to TALES FROM THE HOOD.

Now it appears that Crib is back, and while it has no relation to Hood, it does have new title: AMERICAN NIGHTMARES and not only is the film completed, but it was also silently dumped to Cinemax on demand recently. With names likes Danny Trejo, Vivica A. Fox, Nichelle Nichols, Chris Kattan and Jay Mohr the film ironically boasts a more familiar-faced cast than the actual TALES FROM THE HOOD sequel, even somehow getting the original Mr. Simms, Clarence Williams, to come out of retirement for a brief role. You can check out the synopsis and trailer below and if you're unable to catch the movie on demand right now, it reportedly hits DVD shelves February 12th 2019.

Seven morality-themed horror tales surround an eccentric person, who hacks into two millennials’ computer screens and forces them to watch short video examples that reveal the consequences of various immoral crimes. Each of the tales in this horror-comedy might seem over-the-top, but they put a horrifying and twisted spin on some of the important conflicts facing the society we live in today.
