These two Italian horror films, which were originally scheduled to debut on DVD shelves this coming Tuesday from Mya Communication, have been pushed back to a November 10th street date.  No explanation was ever given for the delay, so I'm afraid fans of these films will have to wait another two weeks to add them to their ever-growing DVD collections.

Premise:

Baron Ivan Rassimov, a brilliant doctor, died horribly during a fire burst in his laboratory. Since that day, his daughter Tanja (Katia Christine) retired to a life of reclusion, covering with a dark veil her disfigured face. Professor Nijinski (Klaus Kinski) was once a student of Rassimov; he married Tanja, and he’s trying to restore her lost beauty with a series of skin transplants. However to reach his goal, professor Nijinski needs beautiful young victims for his transplant experiments. Klaus Kinski, perfect in the "mad-doctor" role, leads the cast of this little known gothic movie. Director Sergio Garrone brings together the classic elements of Italian horror cinema of the 70s: effective underground settings, nude girls and vivid splatter scenes. The special effects were done by Carlo Rambaldi, before the Oscars won with Alien and E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial.
