Blood Diner (1987)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

I've heard lots of positive things about this movie and you'd have to be really not take this movie too seriously to enjoy it and that's exactly what I did. I knew what I was expecting, so I just watched it with an open mind. That's why I really enjoyed the movie -- it was campy, funny, and gory. This is more of a comedy than a horror film, because there's really not much for scares in here. It's all just in good fun. I thought it was pretty sweet around the beginning when a bunch of high-school girls were doing aerobics topless when one of the crazy brothers bursts in with a semi-automatic machine gun and kills them all! That was unexpected and rather funny.

The movie has a lot of over-the-top scenes. One scene I really enjoyed was when one of the brothers drives a van in this open road, and when he spots a fat biker from a gang called the "Cannibals," he runs him over thinking he killed him, but when he looks in his rear-view mirror he sees the man getting up, so he runs him over again and somehow the fat-ass is still getting up! It was hilarious to see him constantly run him over to make sure he's dead. There's a lot of sweet gore in here since there's so many deaths and the brothers needed various body parts to re-create the goddess Sheetar. The scripts isn't anything original and the acting kind of sucks in parts, but you can't expect much from a campy 80s horror film.

I gave this movie a 7-rating, because I found it enjoyable and fun to watch. This is something you have to watch with an open mind. Otherwise you won't like it.

Good cheesy 80s horror film. Lots of nice gore and funny scenes. Check this movie out.
