I've wanted to see this film for a couple years and I was finally able to see it recently. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it was still pretty good. The story is nothing original - a family moves into an old home in Spain and eventually the father begins to change over time. Only the daughter notices something's up and suspects that the house they're living in is haunted by the spirits of children that may or may not have died there in the past.

I've had this movie listed on the UHM page for years and I remember seeing the trailer for the first time about a year ago. I thought it looked pretty damn creepy. I was under the impression that it had something to do with some kind of evil dark spirit in a home that would eventually kill the family, but it was pretty off with that assumption. The spirits in the movie aren't the real main focus, but more-so the origin of the house and how it relates to the family. The movie does have its creepy moments, but if you've seen the director's previous film, The Nameless, then it's nothing you haven't already seen before. I noticed he used a lot of the same scenes in both movies to creep out the audience.

The movie is mainly story-driven than anything, which isn't a bad thing, but I was let down by that only, because I was expecting something maybe a little different. It's still a good movie in the end, which is why I gave it a 6-rating. The acting was good and the directing was excellent. I loved the dark atmosphere the movie had. I have no idea when this movie will be hitting the US, but it's been out for a while over in Spain. I'm pretty sure it's just going to go direct-to-video when it comes out, but maybe if we're lucky it'll get a limited theatrical release.

Not a bad movie, but very similar to the director's previous film The Nameless. Worth a look for a good story and creepy scenes, but don't expect too much.
