George O'Hanlon Jr. This movie was actually a bit of a surprise for me since I didn't know what to expect from it. All I knew was that it was about a group of people in a haunted house. In the end I found it to be a pretty decent and enjoyable flick. The story is about a psychiatrist who purchases an old rundown mansion at a bargain price. Since it's so run-down he enlists the help of a friend and a group of his students to fix it up and stay the night. They get more than they bargained for when people begin turning up dead in various ways.
I think what I liked most about this movie were the deaths. Although there were maybe one-too-many deaths involving electrocution, they were all generally original in their own ways. Especially in the decade the movie was initially released. There may have a couple moments where the viewer might get a little scared, but in terms of an overall scary movie -- it wasn't a very good one. I think it works better as a "slasher" just without the crazy masked killer in it.
It borrows a little from the classic Kubrick film The Shining mixed a little with The Legend of Hell House. I also liked the story of the film, especially towards the end when it turns into something more than your typical haunted house flick. I decided to give it a 6-rating, because I enjoyed it and found it better than expected.

An underrated haunted house movie. Interesting story and deaths. Not scary, but worth a rent if you can find it.
