I've wanted to see this film ever since I saw the trailer and now that I've seen it I have to say that I liked it, but was slightly disappointed with the ending. The movie was entertaining and creepy in parts, but when the ending came, I was just a little let down. The film had a lot of cool parts that involved "the creeper". I think this can be a start of a new horror icon, because this creeper character was very cool. Though, I think he kind of lost his edge when more of him was shown -- especially one scene where the camera does a close up of the creeper's eye and you can see the outline of the contact. What a waste.
The first 30-or-so minutes are suspenseful and keeps you glued and there are some nice scenes that will make you jump. The rest of the movie is focused less on scares and more on entertainment, which I really didn't mind much. I read that the film was supposed to be really gory, but I didn't see much for gore; a lot of dead bodies though. There are many mixed reviews for this movie, but I think it's good with the exception of the end.
I thought the part where the creeper goes into the police station was pretty sweet -- the cops never stood a chance. The acting was good and a lot of scenes were nice and dark, which kept the suspense going. I really liked that. Would have given the movie a higher rating, but I felt that the movie ended too quickly. Not much was explained and the way it ended wasn't as good as I wanted it to be.
There’s already talk of a sequel, and I believe this is one of those horror movies that need a sequel to further explain the background of the creeper and more into the story of what happens next. I can say that I'm looking forward to a sequel and I can only hope that it's better than the first. I have to say that this movie is one of the more original horror films to come out in this modern age, where the box office is overruled by mindless teen slasher flicks. That time is over; make way for the new wave of horror!
A fun and entertaining film that just seemed too short. The creeper character is very cool. I recommend this movie to all you horror buffs looking for something new.
