I heard a lot of negative feedback about this sequel, but I was surprised to find that I actually sort of enjoyed it. It's not as good as the first, but it's still pretty good. In this film it takes place right after the events in the first film. There's a small investigation about what really happened to the people and such. Later on we meet up with some of the original cast members. The story focuses more on the little boy from the first film, who didn't really have a major roll at the time. Apparently in this movie he has some psychic powers.

Unlike the first movie, this sequel is more about studying the psychic powers and energy, where in the first film it was all about the tape and the curse behind it. They do go a little bit more in depth of the curse, but not by much. Like the first movie, the acting was very good and there were a few creepy scenes in it. One scene in particular almost gave me chills. Very good scene. Also like the first movie, it's story driven. It gets slow in parts, but it's all to explain the story. I have to say that although I like subtitles, sometimes they can be a real bitch.

Anyway, the reason why I gave this film a lower rating than the first film was because - even though it was creepy - it just didn't have the same feel as the first movie. It did have some cool scenes, but nothing tops the atmosphere of the original. I'm going to be reviewing the prequel sometime soon called, Ring 0: Birthday. Hopefully it'll be as good, if not better, than the first and second films.

Not as good as the original, but still pretty good. Some really good creepy scenes in it. Recommended if you saw the first film.
