Never heard of this film until I checked it out when it came in a batch of films I purchased on eBay. It was actually better than I expected. Starts off with a model getting a place of her own at an old apartment building, where the supposedly only tenant is an old priest who lives at the very top. The very first night she’s there she meets her neighbors and hears strange noises in the night. As time goes on she begins to slowly go insane.
Didn't really know what to expect from this movie or what it was really about. When I saw it I wasn't quite sure if it would be deemed a supernatural horror film or not. It ended up being somewhat of a haunted house-type flick. It has its creepy moments, but nothing really that scary. The small make-up effects the movie does have aren't too bad. Directing and acting is pretty good.
It had a lot of familiar faces playing small roles like Beverly D'Angelo and Christopher Walken. I guess this was one of the first films. I found the story for the movie to be rather original once more of the plot is revealed. My only complaint about this movie would have to be the fact that it didn't really have too much going on. It got a little dull in parts, but it stayed interesting for the most part. If it had more scares or stuff happening' I probably would have given it a higher rating.
Not a bad haunted house flick. Not really scary, but had its creepy moments. Good original story. Worth at least one watch.
