UHM - Review - American Psycho 2: All American Girl

This movie was as I expected it to be. I knew that the first film didn't need a sequel, so when I found out a sequel was being made I knew it would just be a predictable direct-to-video. It starts off showing how the Mila Kunis character ties in with Patrick Batemen. It turns out that when she was a young girl her babysitter dated Bateman and he tied them both up in hopes to kill, but things didn't really turn out that way. Living out most of the details, she somehow makes it free and doesn't give it a second thought. Fast forward some years and now she is college. She seems somewhat normal until we realize that she would kill to get a job as the professor's assistant just to get into the FBI, and soon enough, she does.

I thought this movie was very predictable and cliched, and to top it off, it had many plot-holes. What I found annoying about this film was the fact that she killed a lot of people and it took a while before anyone noticed. Things just seemed too unbelievable and the the climax at the end of the film was very silly. You'll see how limited the budget is at that point.Though, despite all the bad this film has, I still somewhat enjoyed watching it, but that had to be mainly based on the fact that Mila Kunis is hot.

The killings were decent, especially the one where Mila's character uses a condom as a weapon, haha. There's really no gore or much for blood in here and the plot was nothing special. I still don't quite understand it fully since the events that happened in the first film were all supposedly in Bateman's head. I would have given the movie a lower-rating, but it kept my interest and I had a good laugh at some of the events that happened in the film. Enjoyable if you look past all the stupid plot-holes and silly story.

OVERALL

An unnecessary sequel to a good film. It's basically just your regular slasher film with no real story and a lot of plot-holes. Enjoyable at times and Mila is probably one of the only killer's I wouldn't mind seeing naked. Worth a rent if you're desperate, but don't expect much.

Having no intentions of seeing the original, I have to admit that this was pretty good! I love Mila in That 70's Show, and I thought she was a perfect choice for this movie. She has that thing about her where she doesn't mean to be funny, but she almost always is!!! I'd give it at least a 7/10!

Not a great movie when you put it next to the original but Mila was hot as a serial killer. Great scene was the condom death scene always makes me laugh.
