UHM - Upcoming Horror Movies

I've wanted to rent this for quite some time and I finally got the chance last week. I knew the movie would only be about 48 minutes before seeing it, so I figured since it was short that it would have a lot of action and I was right. There are a lot of sweet action scenes involving the vampire and the demons. In story the last, supposedly, original vampire helps the government kill off demons at a local military base. The demons take on human form and feeds on blood. What I really liked about the movie aside from the premise is how the movie beautifully mixes computer images and Japanese animation. Japanese animation has really reached the top of the line now-a-days.

What I didn't like about the movie, aside from it only being 48 minutes, is the fact that we don't really get to see the main vampire character show much for vampire characteristics. We don't see fangs and she is immune to crosses and is able to walk when the sun is out. There wasn't much back-story involving why or how she came to be the last vampire and I can only hope it is explained more in a sequel. There's a lot of sweet gore and blood, like in most anime movies. I was a little disappointed with the ending sequence. I thought there could have been more done, but I still enjoyed the movie anyway. I would have given it a higher-rating, but due to it being so short they had to cut back on more of the story and I didn't like how they did that. They better make a sequel outta this or I'm gonna be pissed.

OVERALL

A very sweet anime that mixes computer graphics and animation. Lots of nice action and excellent looking characters. Check this movie out.

Saya. Dressed in school uniform. Armed with a samurai. Kills four demons. First, the old man inside the train. Slashed by Saya before it could turn. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT A MALE DEMON LOOKS LIKE THOUGH. Second, a blonde girl. again slashed by Saya as it was getting up in bed. Third, another school girl. Saya was able to slash it only on the arm at first. Inside a military garage, the demon attacks again! Finally, with help from an american agent, Saya slashes it into two. The fourth demon is a waitress. already in demonic form, it changes again! LOOKING LIKE A HORSE THAT HAS A MOUTH OF A SPIDER, IT ALSO HAD WINGS LIKE THAT OF A BAT. A HORSE-SPIDER-BAT-DEMON. nerdy huh? Of course, again Saya slashes it while it tries to reach a U.S. Military Cargo Plane. And so, four demons were killed. Saya is never seen anymore. Where did she went? Why is Saya the Last Remaining Original? An old picture is shown. I'LL GUESS: IT'S SAYA'S FAMILY. In the upper part of the pic, the word: VAMPIRE is printed. That's it. No explanations. No back story. And yes. Only 48 minutes.
