Bad Taste

What a gore-fest! This was a great film. I've heard many things about it from friends and people on the net, but I was kind of skeptical about it. I'm glad I rented it though, because I found myself really enjoying the film. It had a lot of gore, good twisted humor, and an interesting plot.

It starts off with these scientist-type guys checking this small isolated town and discovering that all the townspeople has gone missing, and later find out that aliens have landed and have taken human form, pretending to be some of the leftover townspeople, who kind of resemble zombies. One guy gets his ass kidnapped and is set aside for a huge alien feast the next day. The other guys have to then go inside this huge home, which happens to be the aliens’ hide-out, and where the man is kept tied to a pot.

There's non-stop gore in this film. Brains, blood, severed limbs, it’s got it all. It's amazing that this is the same director that is directing the upcoming Lord of the Rings trilogy. The humor really hit the spot with the dumb ass aliens giving the finger and a guy trying to keep his brain from falling out of his skull. It's really not for the weak-stomached. Even though the gore is a little cheesy it's still great to see. And there's just as much action as there is humor, with all the gun fighting they do.

OVERALL

If you're into gore, then this is the perfect film for you because it's all gore! Gore and dead aliens, how much better can it get? Check this film out.

Ok, let's get some details out in the open first so no one else comes out dissapointed with this movie. First of all this is not a horror flick, in the same way that "Shaun of the dead" is not a horror flick. I mean, if you knew nothing about "Shaun of the dead" and someone invited you to see a HORROR movie about zombies with lots of gore and then took you to see "Shaun of the dead", you will probably want to kick his ass later. So do not kid yourself, in no way is this a horror movie. Now moving on to the movie itself, a lot of gore, mostly brain matter, and quite an unique argument, i mean, an intergalactic fast food corporation looking for their next big hit decides to sell human flesh?, how many times have you heard that?. Now, as far as the comedy goes, it was funny, mostly the guy trying to keep his brain from falling off. Now i am not a big fan of gun fights in horror movies, and in this one there is a lot of that, and i mean A LOT. And that's all there is to it, lots of gore, funny situations and good humor. It's a comedy with gore in it.

I've heard alot about this film as well, however i was extremly disappointed, sure there's gore in it, which is half decent. however everything else is below par, the humor is just not funny, the acting is horrible, the story is amateurish and the action in it was so horribly bad i couldnt watch anymore and dont get me started on that music. given this was a cheap movie, but if the writing and acting could have been beefed up, this may have been an ok film to make fun of..and it isnt even that. it's waste of time, which is a shame because i really was hoping this movie would rock.
