Re-Animator Thanks to Lion's Gate I got to see a screener for this flick, although it is better than catching it on the SciFi channel, I'm sure it's not fully uncut. Either way, I'm glad I got to catch it before its release. So does it live up to the previous two flicks? I guess in ways yes, but when it comes down to it, it is the lesser film of the trilogy. The plot is basically about a young kid who witnesses his older sister get killed by one of Herbert West's crazy experiments. Herbert is finally caught by the cops and sent to prison. Fast-forward 13 years and the kid is all grown up and it turns out that he became a doctor as well. He enlists himself to be the official prison doctor and requests Herbert West to be his assistant. Uh-oh... It turns out the kid knows all about Herb's experiments and wants to help him continue. I think we know where this leads... OVERALL Comments Page 1 of 1:
I used to work in a video store and I got free movie rentals and this is one I took home to watch. All I have to say is thank god I did not pay for this movie. The movie itself was how do I say it was DUMB!!! I have seen the other 2 films and I just don't get them. Jeffrey Combs is great as Dr. Herbert West, and I think he plays great a psychopath, but that is the only thing that was any good in the movie. If I had to rate this movie on a 1 to 10 scale it would get a 1 if that, if I could go 0 I would.
