Desecration
I didn't know much about this low-budget movie before I got to see it and that's rare, because I usually do research before seeing a movie for the first time, so I didn't know what to expect from this. After viewing it I was left a little confused, but also a little pleased, because the movie was strange, but also interesting. There are a lot of weird things that happen in the film that all occur after the nun's death. I was a little lost in the plot though, and that's one of the reasons for giving this the rating I did. There weren't any real scares scenes, but there were some possible creepy ones. I'm sure an evil-looking nun would give many people chills. As for me, I was far from it.
The acting was good from certain people, but I found a couple of the characters a little annoying. I liked some of the clown-like demons in the movie and the scene where this panting of a nun changing was pretty cool. The directing wasn't bad. I liked some of the lighting and the atmosphere of the movie was well done. It's interesting to see the people around the young boy not believe what's happening to him. The ending was a little disappointing though. I expected a little more to it. I would have given a higher rating, but I found some of the film to be a little too slow and I wanted more events to happen, but I have to give credit of the originality of the film. I'm looking forward to checking the director's next film, HORROR, when it comes out.
OVERALL
A little slow-paced and confusing. Has some interesting scenes though. An okay movie in the end.
