| The House of Seven Corpses This was a movie that came in a batch of films I purchased on eBay, because I would never have purchased this individually, especially since it's only rated PG. The only decent "horror" film to come out with a PG rating is Poltergeist. Any horror movie that isn't rated R or at least PG-13 sucks. I've heard that Rob Zombie's inspiration for the title of his movie, House of 1000 Corpses, came from this film. I have no idea why Rob would want anything to do with this film considering it was boring and poorly made. The movie is pretty much just about the film crew trying to make this movie based on the murders that took place in the old mansion. The action doesn't pick up until the last 20 or so minutes of the movie and even then it's boring. I've never seen a zombie walk so damn slow before. I actually had to fast-forward the damn tape to get the guy to walk normal speed. To give you an example of how bad the acting is, is the fact that the acting done in the movie being made within this movie was actually more realistic than the actual acting done for the film. I thought that was rather funny and ironic. I found a few scenes of the movie incredibly annoying, not just because of the slow plot development and the slowest walking zombies ever, but the bad lighting. There was a scene where a couple actors look out the window to see somehow out in the graveyard in the middle of the night and I couldn't see a damn thing. I might as well have had my eyes closed. I would have given the movie a lower rating, but I thought it was decent in parts, but still a pretty bad film. OVERALL Comments Page 0 of 0:
