The Whispering

I passed by this film at Blockbuster countless times trying to decide whether to rent it or not. Since this was yet another movie in the batch of films I got I managed to actually check it and see if it would have actually been worth a rent or not. Well it's not. The movie is so boring; I almost fell asleep three times. Luckily I try not to sleep while watching a horror film, so I can watch enough to review it. The story is basically about this investigator who has to examine the many deaths of supposed suicide victims. He later finds out that a demon is the cause of it. A woman who whispers things into the person's ear, which makes them want to kill themselves. Man, thinking about the movie is making me want to go to sleep.

From what I remember from the movie, it has really no action. You see this weird looking chick whisper stuff to people's ears and that's about it. It really doesn't somewhat pick up 'till towards the end and even then it was still boring. I think if the script was a bit better and if it had more going on that the movie would actually be watchable. Now it just seems like something insomniacs can use to help their sleep depravation. The acting was pretty bad and the directing was nothing special. I would have given the movie a lower rating, but I thought it was okay in parts and it showed more at the climax.

OVERALL

Don't bother with this movie. It's very boring and nothing happens until the end.
