I still have yet to see BR all the way through. The DVD I got was fucked up.
Yeah, the one I got too was pretty glitchy and crap to where I couldn't watch the end that night, but then I cleaned it off a little better and it works alright now, it still glitches, but I'm going to see if my dad's dixk repair thing will work on it.

I just watched Doom today. Wanted so bad to like it and did for the most part. However, the first person scene was way too drawn out, and the rest of the movie after it I thought sucked quite a bit.
I hated DOOM so much. Just watched Night Gallery. It was alright and some parts were kinda creepy. Watchable

Continueing my Nightmare kick, I watched...
A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge- Between the constant girly screams echoing from Jesse and the gay undertones, it was hard for me to get into this instalment. When I originally watched this a couple years ago, I hated it. This time I tryed to look past it's faults, and relized that the film does have strong points. For example, Freddy isn't all fun and games in this one, he's much darker than in Dream Warriors and onward. I also liked the party scene, he got some nice blood candy. Overall I think NOES 2 is somewhat underrated, but for good reasoning. 6.5/10

Fragile
...Knowing that this was from the writer/director of Darkness, I was REALLY surprised to see that Fragile was actually pretty damn good! Okay, well, it's nothing all that special but the story is simple yet original enough, Calista Flockhart did a great job and there were some good creepy moments here and there. For ghost junkies, like myself, this is good entertainment. I'd recommend it.

Tamara
....Wow. How did this ever get made? I read so many positive reviews saying it was a good, fun b-movie. It was a b-movie for sure. And a really crappy one at that. Simply, it's exactly like the kind of movie you see on the sci-fi channel and turn off half way through after realizing how bad it is. Definitely skip this one.

It is a stinker. A total sci-fi channel crapper. I agree though, Tamara did look cool in zombie form but she only looked that way for like 6 seconds. The only upside to the movie was one of her funny revenge plots where she made two guys, who were responsible for her death, make out and screw each other. It was so great when a friend called up the guys cell phone and Tamara picked it up saying: "I'm sorry, Sean can't answer the phone right now, he's fucking Patrick"

If you know your a B movie horror, either try to direct really well and keep a creepy atmosphere (Cube, Dead End, Boo) or just try to get as much gore in there as possible (too many to name).

Puppetmaster; what a terrible movie. I liked the idea and the kills were alright, but damn, the look was agonizing. Must be because it was made in the 80's and it had to have some low ass budget. And to think there are more of them...
Let me say in Puppetmasters defense that I don't think it was as bad than the movie that was to be shown afterwards: "Pinata: Survival Island." Fubar.

Saw II
----------
I Think that I enjoyed it somewhat, but I think I would have enjoyed it more seeing it before everyone spoiled the ending for me over and over again so I knew what was coming. I still think the first one was better, but I will watch the third one.
2001 Maniacs
--------
Not the best horror movie in history, but it isn't bad in any sense at all either. Enjoyable in its own ways and a fun movie that I will probably pick up again just for the chance to watch it again. Though the characters i wanted to live longer died in the beginning/middle and the ones I found annoying died near the end. Its okay though because the movie more than made up for it.
My friend liked both, but liked Saw II better however I personally liked 2001 maniacs better.

have read alot of people comparing the premise to Silent Hill and i can see why, but i hope thats better. have been lookin forward to seein Silent Hill for ages now - been a big Christophe Gans fan ever since Brotherhood Of The Wolf and can't wait to see what he does with Rahan, if it ever gets made!
Venom: 6.5/10
When it gets to the killing/chase scenes it seems like the director and writers know what they're doing. But when they try for dialogue or character development, they crash and burn. Which makes this film only half-decent.

Dominion: Prequel To The Exorcist
... Total piece of crap. Worse than I was expecting. There was a very strong b-movie vibe to everything here; the crappy directing by Paul Schrader (who doesn't seem to have any sort of talent whatsoever. I'm glad he was fired), the editing, the writing, the cheesy special effects and even Skarsgard's acting, which was very monotone and nonchalant. What the hell were they thinking in greenlighting this script? I still have yet to see The Beginning, but I doubt it's any better.

I'm glad you checked that out. It was a good flick. It deserved a better fate at the box office.
Once in awhile movies sneak by me for one reason or another, and this one was no exception. I honestly think that the marketing for the film was poor;therefore it did poorly in the boxoffice. So I'm always looking for something that is new to me, and sparks my interest.
This one was directed by Kenneth Brenagh (sp?) one of the more talented directors IMO. The only thing I had a problem with was casting DeNiro as the monster; I don't feel he really fits into the horror genre very well....suspense, drama, comedy...yes....he's very talented.
Movie I'd say is the most loyal to the book than any of the others. There were a few scenes that made me question if it was in the book or not. But it did make the monster look more humane than his creator; which was pretty much what the book was too.

When A Stranger Calls (1979) - 6/10 - despite a weak middle segment a pretty good film. the first and third acts are chilling and atmospheric. actually thought the sequel - When a Stranger Calls Back (1993) - was better, but neither match the brilliance of Black Christmas.
When A Stranger Calls (2006) - 3/10 - totally wasted effort. despite reworking the story into a more coherent narrative it relies too much on cheap scares.... the lead girl was hot though!!
Slither - 7/10 - very funny and gory, a great tribute to 80s horror films. Nathan 'Mal' Fillion was of course brilliant. the film also had some very cool quotable dialogue - ''That bitch is hardcore''

just got done watching monster man , instead of jumping out of my seat I laughed my ass off , or is that what the movie is supposed to make you do, because this movie is so goofy and silly and retarded it makes Jeepers Creepers 2 look good, lol
if it came down to watching this or actually anything but this movie, I hope this wasn't Justin Urich's big movie to try and make it into the movies because this isn't going to do it, if his Uncle was alive he might of told him to burn the script when he got it,lol
and for those who doesn't know who Justin Urich's Uncle is try vegas, spenser for hire, swat, Ice Pirates aka Robert Urich
I've never seen that movie before.

Cry Wolf-6/10, not too shabby for a PG-13.
Blue Demon-3/10, but I knew it was gonna be terrible, so we made a drinking game out of it.
