How and where did you get a copy of this? Have been wanting to see this for years. Would like to know if there's a bootleg to buy or a torrent to download or anything?

there's a torrent on demonoid.com, great quality imo.

I saw Dead Silence and Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon today. Both were good films. "Behind the Mask..." really impressed me, kept my interest and entertained me. Dead Silence was also a good film. Like the Saw films, there is a twist ending at the end of the film.

I honestly thought it was pretty bad.Plot is weak not to mention lame. Saw and Saw 2 are far better than this crap. It relied heavily on jump scares and CGI. I found the movie trailers more entertaining

Halloween - 9/10 - Still an awesome film. Love the atmosphere, the character, the style...

Halloween 2 - 5/10 - Okay sequel that is helped by being set on the same night as the first, and having Jamie Lee Curtis & Donald Pleasance return. But without John Carpenter it just doesn't have the subtlety and the class of the first film.

Not so. With a budget of $16 million, $10 million for an opening weekend is rather fair. It'll likely make up for the remaining $6 million in the next three weeks and make a killing in DVD sales/rentals. I hate to be the one to point this out, but we'll likely see an announcement for HILLS 3 from Craven and company before the summer season ends.

The Hellraiser/Wishmaster thread made me pull out Hellbound

9/10- My fave of the series. Nice job expanding the mythos, and Channard is the best cenobite ever. Nothing against Pinhead, the look he gives Channard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyR9lh0Cfw0&mode=related&search=) before attacking him almost makes me wish he won that fight.

Parts 3&4 are fun in their own way, but a huge letdown after part 2. 5-8 are missing everything that makes a good Hellraiser film.

I just watched Hostel for the first time, the unrated version of course. I must say, the first 30 minutes dragged, all it was, was beer, drugs and skin. Don't get me wrong, I love naked women and I don't mind some titty action in horror films, but this went kinda overbored, you'd think it was a softcore porn if you didn't know the movie.

However, after that, it really picked up. The part where the guy cut the back of his feet so when he sat up he fell.....oh my god, I had to bite down on something. And I was honestly cheering when he ran over the whores that set him up. All in all, a good film and I will be seeing it's sequel.

Just got back from Grindhouse last night.

Didnt stay afterwards to see if their were more reels. Pretty solid crowd. I think word has finally gotten out that these are cant miss movies.

Overall pretty solid moviegoing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Planet Terror (Rose has never looked better). Now for Death Proof, I can see why they used so much long, drawn out dialogue in Death Proof but overall I could've gone without the long dialogue between the various groups of girls. It kinda kept me from wanting to see if there were any extra reels afterwards. All in all, a very good watch.

Grindhouse - 3/10
Am I the only person here that thought this movie totally sucked? The best part was Eli Roth's trailer for "Thanksgiving". This 3hr shitfest further proved my dislike for both the directors. Especially Tarantino's job in Deathproof. Tarantino made half that flick fully of "witty" dialogue that made me want to punch Jesus. Boring. Kurt Russell's character could have been a total badass, but then Tarantino made him a pussy.

Unfortunate.

People wanna see dumbed down recycled comedy and watered down horror over a pretty solid double feature. Im not an uber Tarantino/RR fan but I thoroughly enjoyed Grindhouse. However with the kind of money its making, I doubt there's a shot of a sequel double feature.

Then again, as others have said. It could've been a combination of things that caused Grindhouse to plunder into the abyss. The holiday weekend combined with the fact that I think people misunderstood what the whole concept is about. Add to that being Rated R along with the failure to lure in that key brainless teeny bopper demographic always spells doom for a movie. Even though when I went, most of the crowd was young.

I guess the overall bottom line is, audiences went out to see a safe bet and I guess Grindhouse wasnt a safe bet for many of the mainstream out there IMO.

I went to see Grindhouse again last night with a different group of people, and it was a blast. This is the kind of movie that makes going to the theater (drive-in preferably), fun. Which is why I only go once or twice a year. I see nothing on the horizon that makes me want to go anymore this year. If there's anything remotely worth seeing, it's fit for DVD or cable.

Being in the right hands is key. It's real easy to make turkeys that are not 'fun' turkeys.

I can't imagine these being done on the big scale anymore though, considering the giant flop Grindhouse is.

Man, just a whole lot of fun. I did have to insure people the second time around that enduring all the dialogue in Death Proof would pay off.

Kurt Russell is great.

Kurt Russell was great.

I'd give a nod to McGowan as well. Suprised me, I figured her character would be nothing but fodder but for me her character worked. Thats what I like about RR/Tarantino, they take people who arent really mainstream anymore and get the best of out of them.

Russell has almost always been good, just a victim of mainstream politics while McGowan has made some poor moves throughout her career. Stupid movies like that David Arquette wrestling movie and dating a loser like Manson. She was servicable in Grindhouse.

I was drawn in by Christian Bale's character and how oblivious these people were to his "cries for help" so-to-speak. I was drawn in by Christian Bale's character and how oblivious these people were to his "cries for help" so-to-speak. Although not specifically scary, it does show how some serial killers can get away with that kind of stuff... IE: Ted Bundy. I did not care for some of the scenery, I understand it was placed into the late 80s, and I hate the 80s. haha.

"see her asshole...eat it"

From Dusk Till Dawn - 8/10 - So much fun, and endlessly quotable.

'I may be a bastard, but I'm not a fuckin' bastard'

'Those acts of God really stick it in and break it off, don't they?'

'Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them, I don't give a fuck how crazy they are!'

'Well, that is a matter of opinion and I do not give a fuck about yours'

Land of the Dead - 6.5/10 - Not Romero's best, but definately not disappointing.

Phantasm - 6/10 - It was ok, but not the horror classic I'd heard it was (yes it was the first time I ever saw it).

The Hitcher '07 - 6/10 - Pointless remake #1,001 that manages to be somewhat exciting, despite basically being a scene by scene remake of the 1986 original. Sophia Bush's photogenic legs and Sean Bean's mean-spirited portrayal of the titular stalker elevate this redux from being a total 'skip it' affair.

Burial Ground. That movie was great. It's what I remember wanting Zombi 2 to be like when I first saw it (I really do like Zombi 2 though, I was just expecting something else).

Nekromantik 2 - 2/10 dreadful movie could've put the dialog on four pages and really boring. First 5 min. were interesting and so was the last 5 min. but i'll never watch it again

Cannibal Holocaust - 8/10 really enjoyed it def. a cut above the rest especially for when the film was made a classic cult favorite and a must see for horror movie lovers

Black Xmas remake 7.5/10

Really liked this, much more entertaining than the original. The ending was a little much so I knocked off half a point, but I was really diggin the hot chicks and gore.
