Rented 2LDK last night. 8/10. I was very entertained by this movie. The two women acted nice and polite to each other, but you cold hear that they were thinking the exact opposite, and as the movie goes on, their thoughts come out into words, then begins a huge brawl, using anything they can find around the house to fight with. Good action, good laughs, and some painful stuff to see. Great movie, very different.

Crank - Fun flick that doesn't even remotely try to take itself serious. Quite a few hilarious scenes as well which I didn't expect.

Flesh+Blood - I'm sure there's some subtext here but I really didn't give enough of a rat's ass to notice. Poor acting and hokey script ruined whatever point the film was trying to make. You do get to see Jennifer Jason Lee butt-ass naked through most of the movie so that's atleast something. Certainly not one of Verhoeven's best.

From what I took, humans could be free if they wanted to or stay in the now eden like matrix, though it was already stated it wouldn't last do to human nature.

Andy and Linda Wachowski royally fucked up. But I am sure they're swimming in huge vaults of money now so it doesn't matter.

A guy my old man yaps to on XBOX Live said that this film "moved him to tears" much in the same way "Gladiator" did.
Haven't seen it, but after reading reviews and seeing the website, if you've seen every epic film ever made, you've already seen this one too.

Epic films these days are good, but will never live up to the likes of "Spartacus", "Ben-Hur", or "Lawrence of Arabia".

To be honest, being somewhat familiar with the story of the battle of Thermopylae, one of the few things that truly shocked me about the movie was the overall historical accuracy of it. Sure the visuals and characters were over-the-top crazy and a lot of key details were omitted, but as a whole, it really didn't take as many 'liberties' with the basic story that I thought it would.

Too bad that the visual gimmicks and stereotypical chest-thumping dialogue bogged down what could have been a great telling of a great story.
