Project Nim - it was a funny, touching, eye-opening, tragic and ultimately heartwarming documentary about an experiment of nature vs nurture but I mean, ffs, it's got to be quite blindingly obvious to anyone that when a chimp reaches maturity it's not just gonna want to hug and kiss you - it's gonna want to tear your fucking face off!
Also, the humans were madder than the fucking chimp half the time!!!

Melancholia by Lars von Trier: disappointing

I agree. I much preferred Another Earth directed by Mike Cahill. Similar-ish in that the titular planet can be seen from earth, but I felt there was much more of a story to this one (plus I didn't fall asleep halfway through). I recommend it if you're looking for something non-horror to watch. :)

Oh, and I recently watched the BBC's 2009 adaptation of Wuthering Heights. It's a far cry from horror, but I'm a sucker for that story. What can I say, I'm a paradox!
