Hot Docs: Young Yakuza (Japan), it was a movie length documentary. Really interesting to get an insight into that world and how they do things, they are really very respectable unless you get on their bad side, 'cause they'll cut off your pinky finger - 9/10.

I watched the Number 23 last night. I can see why it was nominated for the awards this year. It truly deserves every Razzy they put it up for.

I even hit Mute a few times to drown out the dialog. My wife had the subtitles on, so there was no real escape from the pain. Ultimately I hid in the bathroom through much of Carey's insane ramblings about what does or does not add up to 23, with the mute button still on for safety's sake.

I may have to think about a lot of the movies I look down on. I know I'm a cynical bastard, but at least I can sit through most of those films.

It wasn't trying hard to be anything. Aronofsky just happens to have a unique and artistic style that isn't seen very often which allowed him to make a unique and interesting film about people and dealing with love and death.

So we went to Electric Beach ( local video store ) and rented Saving Private Ryan. That made up for that and wasn't a fan for either of those movies.

Me too i will never understand how that movie became a "classic", i was realyy bored, great acting andwriting i guess, but flatout boring. As for American Beauty, i haven't seen it yet, although i bought the VHS about 6 months ago.

I seen Juno last night, it's still playing at the Loews Googleplex, and was still a filled theater. I thought it was a fun movie, though it tried too hard to be quirky and no teens actually talk like that.
