The Draft Sucked. ECW got crap, Smackdown got the Rejects, and Raw got the best. I don't think this draft is going to shake things up at all. On top of that the Whole Vince is dead Story that they are playing is a new low for this company.
If you think Vince is really dead you should be smacked uptop the head. He is not dead, either he'll pop up not knowing who he is or he is just stepping aside for shane to take over.

Pretty obvious early on that the 'death' storyline is pretty much a wash unless they really turn up the heat and bring in an outside presence that hasnt been around in awhile because if they decide to go with anyone on the roster. It will more than likely lose even more credibility, not that its believable now with current audiences anyway.

Yeah, but it will prob turn out to be Shane, Steph or Linda who wanted him out of the way and they will have another McMahon vs McMahon storyline that they have at least every two years.
It should be someone like Psycho Sid or Bret Hart who did it, or even Jericho. That would make it awesome, but I cant see that happening.

the way Vince was acting before he got into the car, he new. He hesitated before he got in. Then he hesitated before he shut the door. Then it blew up. I'm thinking the whole Mcmahon family is in on it. They probably all faked his death and he had second thoughts. I mean I would say he was commiting suicide, but considering he's not really dead in real life. They can't really do that cuz eventually he'll come back. Either way, it was pulled off pretty well when it blew up.

I thought Wang Yang was going to win the cruiserweight title, little surprise there.
Benoit didnt complete in the match for "personal reasons", so I guess we'll find out what the reason was. Kinda surprised Nitro won, I would of loved for Punk to win.
Umaga flipped out and lost by dq zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
MVP defeating Flair was no surprise, they'll squeeze all they can out of this feud.
Edge and Batista zzzzzz, count of, give me a break, Batista suxs anyways, Edge needs some new competition.
It was nice to see Candice win the womens title, good stuff.

Some interesting Couples news in the wrestling world
It is interesting to note that several of WWE's real-life unmarried couples were broken up from being together on the road due to the recent draft moves.
Among the couples being broken up include Johnny Nitro & Melina, not to mention Kenny Dykstra & Mickie James. Also note, Dykstra & James are currently engaged. And it's just now coming out that Bobby Lashley and SmackDown Diva Kristal Marshall are item, but they too have been broken up from being together on the road due to Lashley's move to Raw. Seeing how SmackDown and ECW worked the same shows, they were on the same schedule and able to be together on the road.
There's also another WWE couple in CM Punk and Maria. Although, they were broken up the minute Punk was brought up to the main roster last June.
All of these couples are still together it's just that they can't travel with each other on the road.

Tonight’s Raw on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family. WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family’s relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

There is a chance about this being a storyline, WWE are skating on thin ice with the whole McMahon death, so this is just going over the linem, especially because of the fairly recent Eddie Guerrero(sp) passing.
I really hope it's just a sick story line, but it does sound real, considering Benoit was very private about his family life so I can't see him agreeing to anything like this.

It actually is a weird feeling when you lose the respect of someone you used to admire, I loved Benoit as a wrestler, the Crossface for me is one of the best submission moves, I always had it for my created player in wrestling games (I probably still will). I don't actually care what went on through his warped mind when going through his whole murder fetish, fuck him.
Changing the subject.
Austin Aries has been released from his contract at TNA, he sucked anway.
I can see TNA signing all sorts of ex WWE wrestlers now, considering they're planning a big clear out of the people they don't usually use.
I heard Rob Conway was on his way to TNA and they are interested in signing Sean Waltman (X-Pac) to become the third memeber of the VKM.
I'm a big fan of Waltman, he was my favourite wrestler as X-Pac even though he is a cock.

Death of Nancy Benoit rumour posted on Wikipedia hours prior to body being found
Wikinews has learned through an investigation that anonymous edits on the Wikipedia article Chris Benoit were added about the death of his wife Nancy Benoit 14 hours before police entered the Benoit home to find the former professional World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Canadian wrestler and his family dead.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that on Thursday, June 21, Nancy Benoit called a close friend to express grave fear.
Nancy reportedly told the friend that she was scared to death and that, "if anything happens to me, look at Chris [Benoit]."
The friend, along with a former wrestler and friend in whom she confided, told Nancy to immediately leave and hide out in an apartment. Further, Nancy was instructed to send son Daniel to her parents' house in Florida.
Despite her fear, she, for reasons that are not yet clear, did not follow such instructions. Chris apparently murdered Nancy and son Daniel before taking his own life in the days that followed the concerned phone call.

Interesting fact regarding John Cena's reign as WWE Champion. If Cena holds on to the WWE Title through September 18 (which wasn't the plan originally), he would be the first world champion in company history to go 365 days since Randy Savage in the 1980s. Cena's current reign as WWE Champion started on September 17, 2006.
-CNN has been contacting many professional wrestlers, retired and still in the business with the hopes on interviewing them. The goal is to get interviews with the wrestlers on the death rate in wrestling over the years. The show would be called "Under the Radar" and right now looks to focus on Brian Pilman, Ray "Big Bossman" Traylor and Rick Rude's passing's. In the aftermath of the Benoit family tragedy, a lot of eyes have been opened to the death rate in wrestling.
-Bret Hart will be on Larry King Live this Monday evening.
---Hopefully Cena will lose the belt this summer :D and I wonder will the WWE change their "wellness policy" since the Benoit death occurred. Things should get interesting imo.

I'm a massive Waltman fan, i'd like to see him go back to the WWE but as a face instead of a heel, because he really had the crowd going when he was a favourite, KOTR 1998 for example.
When he was with DX people loved him and when he feuded with Kane he was really popular. Then he got released from the WWE and the last thing I heard he was tangled up with Chyna in a relationship, I dunno if they're back together now or not.

Looks like The Great American Bash will be a good PPV
Heres the Card :
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley
World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali vs. Kane vs. Batista
ECW World Champion John Morrison vs. CM Punk
Intercontinental Champion Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy
Women's Champion Candice Michelle vs. Melina
Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (Texas Bull Rope Match)
United States Champion MVP vs. Matt Hardy
Sandman vs. Carlito
My Predictions:
Cena over Lashley, might end with a dq or something stupid and they will have a re match at Summerslam.
The Triple Threat Match with Khali is hard to predict, All I know is that Kane will NOT win this.
Its Punks time to win the ECW world title, but they changed Nitros name sooo I guess they are planning on giving him the title for a while. I WANT Punk to win, but Nitro will more then likely prevail.
Umaga will beat Hardy
The Womens title match will be shit, but ill go with Candace
Orton is going to kick the old mans ass, I expect alot of blood in this match.
MVP over Hardy, but I would love to see Hardy win it.
The Sandman and Carlito is kinda hard to predict, but the loser will probably be fired in like a year IMO

Great American Bash was a bore.
It was probably the most predictable PPV for a while, except the whole Hornswaggle winning the Cruierweight Championship, though I did have a feeling something like that would happen because we saw Hornswaggle at the beginning of the match.
The Cena match felt as if it ended a bit too soon, even though it was like a 23 minute match.
The Cruiserweight Championship match and womens match seemed really disjointed at times.
The highlight of the PPV was Umage vs Jeff Hardy, it was the best match of the night by a mile.
TNA's Victory Road was a better PPV.

Here are some of my thoughts of the current situation of the WWE
The Great American Bash PPV was predictable. The only part I didn't expect was when Hornswaggle won the cruiserweight title. The only reason Chavo lost the cruiserweight title was because when Rey Mysterio returns he is going to feud with him. And we all know Mysterio is going to win that encounter. the reason for this upcoming feud is because Chavo put Mysterio out of action because of repeated chair shots to the body over 6 months ago on Smackdown.
But besides that everything went as I thought. Khali beating Kane and Batista was no surprise, its sooo easy to predict Khali vs Batista at Summerslam. Also Cena zzzzzz beat Lashley in around a 15 minute match, come on! , what happened to those old main events that lasted anywhere from 20-40 minutes, some old classic Flair matches even went the full 60 minute time limit. I remember watching Flair enter the ring with the confidence and class of a champion, but now we have Cena coming to the ring dressed with the newest WWE merchandise, nothing more then a marketing scheme, he's the new Hulk Hogan. They both have limited wrestling skills and a finishing move that wouldn't hurt a crippled drunk. But the fans love them and as long as they haul in the $$$, they will remain champion.
Also...are the fans supposed to fear or respect Orton and take him seriously? He claims he ended HBK's career, HBK is coming back this fall. And the only way he 'ended' RVD's career was a cheap shot to the head after he LOST the match. And now last night he beat a 50 plus year old man.....so when is Orton actually going to feud with someone capable of fighting him?? The WWE need to put Orton in a feud with a respectable wrestler before they have him feud with Cena or HHH. Not "old legends" such as Dust Rhoades. All the WWE are doing are building up his persona, so they can set him up in a feud with Cena or HHH, and of course Orton will lose that feud. So predictable...
Overall, tbe WWE continue to run into repeated injuries and deaths that cause them to have to rewrite their storylines. But have patience, HHH is returning and things might pick up on RAW, but IMO on Smackdown they are in serious need of move main eventers, they have :
Mark Henry - Who gets injured every 8 months, so the WWE are afraid to put the belt on him because he is so unreliable.
Mysterio - Who is too small to tango with the likes of Khali and Kane. They might have him teamed with Flair when he returns after his feud with Chavo.
Kane - I can't see the WWE giving Kane the belt, it just doesn't suit the current WWE to have him champ.
Khali - I predict they will have him fight mid card wrestlers in an attempt to make him look invincible going into Summerslam.
Batista - The top face on Smackdown now, but he's seriously after getting boring, he doesn't have much of a personality IMO, another example of a wrestler with " no personality disorder" is Lashley.
The rest of Smackdowns main eventers such as The Undertaker, Flair and Edge are injured or they got traded to RAW ( Kennedy and King Booker for example)
IMO RAW has too much star power for Smackdown to deal with, and I'm not going to mention ECW except for the fact that they need to give CM Punk the belt, stop having him lose to Johnny Nitro, because by the time the WWE give Punk the ECW title...no one will even care....
Thoughts or opinions on what I said?
Gilly
07-23-2007, 05:45 PM
I agree with what you said mostly.
I think Kane is more concerned about making WWE bigger and better, so therefore not winning a title for more than a week. Though he doesn't seem to realise that him having a lengthy time as a champ would probably help the WWE.
The last person to do all of this ended up killing his family.
On a side note...TNA are in talks with Fox about getting a two hour time slot, they said "no matter what the station is, we will get a two hour time slot." I really hope this happens because TNA really needs two hours so that they can book properly and not clusterfuck a whole hour show.
It has so much talent going to waste, they need to use and book it properly.

Some interesting wrestling info here:
- Dave Meltzer is reporting that Bobby Lashley is estimated to be out of action for three to five months.
- Within TNA, there is strong interest in Nidia (who just had a kid), A-Train (Giant Bernard in Japan) and Shelly "Ariel" Martinez. Morale has been affected greatly by all of this, as guys continue to work hard and get rewarded with nothing, and new people are brought in and given strong pushes just because they made a name elsewhere. It is said that a lot of guys now treat TNA as a job, and a lot of the fun has gone out of working there. There have been reports going around of more and more guys, including some pretty major names (not all X-Division guys) who have asked for their release recently and been turned down.
- TNA actually wanted Rikishi as their first choice, not "The Punisher" Andrew Martin. TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Rikishi's money demands were way too high and so they settled for the former Test.
- TNA wants to run 10 PPV shows outside Orlando in 2008. They definitely want to run a PPV in the New York market. They are also looking at Memphis -- their highest rated market -- and Knoxville.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Robert Huffman (King Booker) quit WWE when he was told that he was to be suspended for 60 days, as a punishment to the Signature Pharmacy bust. He was believed to have failed a Wellness Program test before, hence the 60 days suspension instead of 30.
While WWE is still trying to negotiate Huffman's staying with them, they're going on under the impression he's done. The two sides had been having troubles recently, with a major setback being John Laurinaitis' call to go with Florida for a developmental territory - where WWE would start from scratch - instead of going with Booker's already established PWA, which WWE had been loaning wrestlers to. After they made the call to stop that, Booker went to his friends at TNA and booked them for his shows instead, which didn't sit so well with anyone backstage, but they couldn't say much having pulled WWE talent from PWA.
Booker is pretty much set financially and has wanted out of wrestling for a while. At age 42, he's accomplished a lot, and thanks to his hip hop store doing well in Houston, and his two wrestling schools up and running, there's really no need for him to stick around.

Former WWE superstar, Rikishi/Fatu is backstage at tonight’s TNA TV tapings. There has been quite a bit of talk within the company of bringing in Rikishi. With all the talk between both sides, it is very likely he will make his debut tonight at the tapings and possibly start a feud with Samoa Joe. Rikishi will have to go by a different name, as WWE owns the copyright to the name “Rikishi.”

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – WWE Champion John Cena has suffered a complete tear of his right pectoral tendon and is heading into surgery, according to noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Because of the seriousness of the injury, WWE officials will not allow Cena to compete this Sunday at No Mercy, and he will have no choice but to surrender the title.
Dr. Andrews said Cena could miss between six and eight months of action. Cena was injured during his match Monday night on Raw with Mr. Kennedy. Before visiting Dr. Andrews, Cena had said, “No matter how serious, the injury, one way or another I’ll be ready to compete on Sunday.”
But despite Cena’s vow, WWE officials will not allow him to compete at No Mercy. Therefore, he must surrender the WWE Championship.
WWE officials vow that there will be a WWE Championship Match this Sunday at No Mercy and a new WWE Champion will be crowned.
John Cena wil be out six to eight months and must surrender the WWE Championship

Thats a possibility, but when Lashley returns things will get a little more interesting and the rumors of Jericho returning with those save_us222 videos makes me a little excited. Junior Fatu (being Rikishi) has left TNA.
He was working on a night-by-night basis and was constantly asking for more money. There was some concern about his work in the ring and his attitude (he forgot Robert Roode's name during an interview by calling him "Rick Rude"), and so they decided not to offer him what he felt he was was worth. Because Fatu was advertised to wrestle in the Fight for the Right tournament at Monday's Impact taping, TNA actually announced that Fatu would not be there. Though he seemed to get a nice reception from the fans during his short stint in TNA, a number of people in crowd cheered the announcement.

She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. The following matches were taped last night for this week’s edition of TNA iMPACT: TNA Champion Kurt Angle vs. Kaz, Lance Hoyt & Jimmy Rave vs. LAX, TNA Women's Champ Gail Kim & Chris Harris vs. Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks, and Riddick vs. Abyss.
TNA is looking to sign Scott Hall to a contract. Hall would still work in Puerto Rico as he's done for the past several months, but TNA wants him as a regular member of their roster. Management is very pleased with how he's carried himself recently. It's been discussed that once Hall's in ring career ends, TNA wants to use him as an agent backstage. He has a brilliant mind for the wrestling business and knows how to draw money. His function would be helping with talent development and critiques of matches and promos.
Another big star whose future has been discussed recently is Sting. Sting's TNA contract expires in the next several weeks and at this point no new deal has been signed. Some saw Sting doing the job at Genesis as a sign that he is on his way out, but this is not the case. Sting probably will stay in TNA through 2008, but that may be his final year in wrestling. Like Scott Hall, Sting has been very easy to deal with behind the scenes and is not afraid to put anybody over. Sting wants to give back and has actually suggested to agents that he use his star power to put over some of the younger talent.
We've had numerous readers send us word that the photo of the latest edition of WWE Magazine with Chris Jericho on the cover is indeed legit and that many people received the edition today. The photo of the cover is at http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e207/42yearold/cj.jpg
Raw on Monday night averaged a 3.5 cable rating, and 5 million viewers. The show did hours of 3.4 (4.9 million) and 3.6 (5.1 million).
As many of you all know, the latest Save_Us video aired on Raw last night and practically outright said Chris Jericho was debuting next week. It said 6_DAYS, 23 HOURS, AND 33 MINUTES - which aired at 9:55 p.m., meaning he's scheduled to show up 27 minutes short of a full 24 hours from that moment, which would mean 9:28 p.m. next Monday night.
