Im a huge fan of the WWE formerly known as the WWF.
www.wwe.com
www.ecw.com
I have been a fan since I was like 3 and I watch Raw and Smackdown every week. They also have the ECW brand wrestling now. My current fav wrestlers are HHH and RVD, my all time fav wrestlers are Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
I collect everything to do with wrestling and I have many VHS and DVDs of the wwe and the old wwf. Even a few of the old WCW and ECW.
Are you a fan of wrestling? If so let me know what you think of wrestling and what do you like better, the wrestling of today or the old school days of Andre the Giant and Jake the Snake?
The alltime best wrestlers are Ric Flair and Bruno Sammartino . He held the belt around 12 years altogether. If you have any questions about wrestling just ask me, ill be more then happy to let you know the answer.

"holding the belt" in pro wrestling isnt really an accomplishment since its all staged, no offense.

Im not trying to diss wrestling, i used to watch it and Andre the Giant was a BAMF and if you want to know my favorite wrester from when i was little it was the undertaker, old school and new school. I doubt he is still wrestling. but maybe he is.

....and Bruno Sammertino. He held the belt around 12 years straight.....
1) You spelled Sammartino wrong
2) Sammartino held the belt for 7 years, 8 months straight - - 4 years and 4 months short of 12 years.

clearly you looked that up on the internet...I have the wrestling anthology home and he held the belt more then once, the two times he held the title lasted 12 years. Check it out..its true
No, I did an essay on Sammartino back in highschool - that's how I know.
And you didn't say "he held the title for a combined total of 12 years" you said he held it 12 years straight - that's a huge difference.

Bruno Sammartino Buddy Rogers New York, NY 05-17-63
Ivan Koloff Bruno Sammartino New York, NY 01-18-71
and his second title run :
Bruno Sammartino Stan Stasiak New York, NY 12-10-73
Superstar Billy Graham Bruno Sammartino Baltimore, MD 04-30-77

The Million Dollar Man...a classic villian...responsible for the WWF title tourney at Wrestlemania 4...Andre The Giant won the belt and The Million Dollar man bought the belt off him, that was illegal, so the belt was put up for grabs in a tourney. The Macho Man Randy Savage ended up winning the tourney after beating The Million Dollar Man when Hulk Hogan ran in and hit him with a chair.I have the Wrestlemania 4 vhs and I watch it from time to time, it was a very exciting tourney.
The Million Dollar Man is now a Million Dollar class act, he is gone religious and says he has changed his values. Its very interesting, I saw an interview on the religious channel with him. Good stuff. :appl:

The sad thing about wrestling is the ones who are actually entertaining are usually not the ones that get pushed.
Jamie Noble for example is made to look like a joke right now in the wwe, but when he left wwe for a short time He went to ROH and put on 25 minute main event matches better than most of wwe's current main eventers can.
TNA has a awesome guy like rhino who is over huge, but he loses at every single ppv.
Guys like Edge, Nitro, Batista should be champions not shitty boring annoying people like Booker T, John Cena, and Jeff Hardy.

First 3 incarnations were enough, much like the WWE's weakass NWO reincarnation, time to say enough is enough. I highly doubt WWE will ever reach the heights it reached in the Attitude Era when it was mainstream.
Too busy promoting shitbag ho divas and backstage garbage which unfortunately was a direct result of the Attitude Era with The Rock, etc. Only then it was entertaining, not lame and played out IMO.

I don't know what wrestling fans you know, but I know a lot and none of them believe wrestling is real. One of the great things about pro-wrestling is when your a kid you can enjoy it because you think it's real, and when you're an adult you can still enjoy it but for different reasons. For me it's an appreciation of the athleticism, which is why I'm more of a TNA fan these days. The WWE seems to give the wrestling itself the back seat in favor of the soap-opera like storylines, where as TNA focuses more on the wrestling itself and thus does not resemble a soap-opera.

Those are the only guys worth giving a shit about. TNA is like that shitty sports team that the legends all go to. And its sad to see former superstars there. Sting, Kurt Angle, Dudley Boys (now known as Team 3-D), Christian was good for a while in the WWE, and you see those guys and you remeber when they were the shit. Dudley Boys were the best tag-team. Usually the "American dream" entails someone working hard, coming from nothing to make something out of themselves. Not riding on someone else's coattails. True, I haven't watched "Smackdown" religiously since about the fall of 2002. They should have the "Raw" writers write for "Smackdown" as well. Not that it would be that much of an improvement as "Raw" is starting to become a real bore.
And this has nothing to do with wrestling, but they need to make an amendment to the Constituion. Anybody who spends so much of their time watching unecessary shows devoted to celebrity worship ie "Entertainment Tonight" or "The Insider" should have their voting rights suspended.
WWE got really lame after the initial WWE vs. WcW thin.g i lost interest quickly after that.

Anyone else ever think that wrestling is just a cock-slip-in-the-ass away from being gay porn? Everything else is already there - sweaty, muscular dudes rolling around on a mat with each other, lame story lines, ball-sacks hanging out all over the place, boots, etc.
Not to take over the thread though, I was just pointing that out.

"Thus, ECW World Champion Big Show will defend his gold against five other Extremists within the lethal chamber structure. In addition to the Extreme Giant and RVD, the remaining four participants will be determined through a series of qualifying matches that will take place over the next few weeks – the first of which can be seen Tuesday night on ECW on Sci Fi." - ECW.com

"Raw" was fucking retarded. I was dreading the moment when Vince announced that he would let the people vote on who would take on Cena and he said Coach was up for voting. I knew the people would vote him to be the one. Annoying as he is, that would have been a boring ass match. Good thing Big Show and King Booker rushed the match. Slipping down the drain it is.

You can't compare wrestling with the UFC. They are two totally different things that appeal to two different audiences. What makes the WWE and TNA exciting for wrestling fans is the choreographed high-risk moves and storylines. What makes the UFC exciting for fight fans is the true competitive nature of the fights and seeing various fighting styles going against each other. I happen to be a fan of both wrestling and the UFC and I enjoy them both for those different reasons. If the WWE or TNA wanted to start doing real fights it wouldn't be any different then what the UFC is so why would they want to do it? There would be no more storylines, no more specialty matches like hardcore, TLC, or steel cage matches because they would simply never get sanctioned by any state if they were real.

I heard Lita was gettin her ass over to TNA, which is cool, I think TNA pwns WWE at the moment, though the last few PPV's have been sub-par, Samoa Joe had a good few months to milk his undefeated streak, so instead they have Angle have him tap out fairly cleanly.

I like the fact TNA are concentrating on having better quality matches instead of having stupid drama the whole time. (Ultimate X match AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels vs LAX was incredible).

TNA is growing as a company and is entertaining, but I don't think it will reach the success WCW had, but they will give it a good try. I hope TNA gets as big as it can and becomes a thorn in WWE's side, there's nothing wrong with a little competition.

TNA is much more extreme than Extreme Championship Wrestling. BTW, I think I know why Heyman left. I was at December to Dismember, it was entertaining but the chamber match, eh, not so good. it was 30 minutes long, 20 minutes was guarunteed (:damnit: no spellcheck). there was a 3 minute period of Cm. Punk, RVD, and Hardcore Holly being eliminated. Sabu was unable to preform due to injury.
I think the matches were all thrown together because on ECW.com the day of the event still only listed the Hardy Boy's match and the chamber. back to the chamber, it wasn't extreme. noone really used the chair, noone got hit with the barbed-wire bat, and noone went through the table. the crowd, espicially a guy in a sweatsuit next to me, chanted things like "this match sucks" or "TNA, TNA, TNA"

I still say DX is the best thing WWE has going for it. It's not like Michaels or HHH are going to reach any new levels of stardome, they've pretty much hit the top. They might as well give the fans what they want and stay in DX till they both have to retire.

HHH is looking to get back the title when he returns so that would more than likely mean no more DX.

DX is still together in a way...last monday on RAW michaels beat rated rko in a tag match and they said DX LIVES....so I dunno whats going to happen now..interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks. Also...
any predictions for who's going to win the Royal Rumble??? My prediction is the UNDERTAKER...he's going to fight Batista for the title at Wrestlemania(thats that's rumor) so theres a good chance he might win it.

There's no good fueds, and TNA is starting to follow suit.

Here are your RAW results:
Jeff Hardy defeated Joey Murcury
Super Crazy defeated Chris Masters
John Cena vs Coach (no contest)
Candice and Mickie defeated Victoria and Melina
Kenny defeated Carlito
Edge defeated HBK (street fight)
An interesting note..Orton helped Edge win then he turned on Edge and threw him out of the ring...are they broke up? Interesting to see what happens.
My pick to win the Royal Rumble this weekend is THE UNDERTAKER

UFC will never replace boxing. Boxing is and always will be an american institution.
It's not UFC its MMA and it will not replace it but it will become most popular combat sport in America within the next few years already the last UFC PPV brought in more buys then nearly everysingle boxing event barring De La Hoya fight and some Tyson bouts. What's killing boxing is there are so many different promotions that there is no real champ. Boxing will always be around but MMA is coming on strong.

Here are the full results:
The Undertaker won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match
WWE Champion John Cena defeated Umaga (Last Man Standing Match)
World Heavyweight Champion Batista defeated Mr. Kennedy
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Test

Looks like all the good guys won their matches. It came down to Shawn Michaels and the Taker in the end, I predict Michaels will face Cena for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania.

Its really too bad wwe don't realise Jeoy is shit and Nitro has the potential to be heavyweight champ material 2 or so years down the road if they are willing to push him the way he deserves to be pushed.
at least its going to be Melina vs Mickie at WM23 like it should be.
Oh and Test on his worst day is 10 times the entertainer that bobby lashley on lashleys best day.
