Nice to finally see Jacob. Interesting to discover his arch-nemesis, whoever he is, was Locke the whole time. It's almost like God and the Devil dueling it out on the island or something.

Also nice to see more stuff on the statue, like actually visiting it for once. They've known about it for a long ass time, but I don't remember ever seeing them actually visit it :scratch:

Yet another frustrating season finale.

So now we know that Ben was really just a fraud. He was never "special", even in Jacob's eyes. Locke was really what the island wanted. But then the question is, exactly WHICH part of the island? Obviously Jacob represents the good part. It's probable he was the bright light that was first seen by Locke early in Season 1, and then by Kate and Juliet when they were handcuffed together. Now all previous encounters with who we thought was Jacob become questionable. The guy in the cabin we were all led to believe was Jacob is actually the JERK who wanted to kill him. He was the one who spoke to Locke saying, "Heeelp me."

It's not fair! Why Locke?! Whyyy?!

What's not really cutting it for me is the alternate timeline. I just feel it's sort of redundant. It's like, a big "WHAT IF" that we don't really care about because we're more intrigued by the events transpiring to the island. But last night's episode had a nice ending. Finally we're given some insight into the purpose of them being there.

Not a damn chance. Expect the end of the storyline (and lots of death), and maybe a bit about the light cave. It'll be BSG-levels of question answering, you just have to prepare for that inevitability.

Yeah, I don't expect everything to be answered, but I hope most of the big things are. I actually liked the BSG ending, so if Lost goes that way as well maybe it will be enjoyable depending on which questions they answer and which ones they leave unanswered. :hmmm:

Didn't like the ending at first, but after reading more about what it all meant I've come to a better understanding of it and I guess it wasn't all that bad. Sad knowing the show is finally over, but at least the writing never faltered and went out on a high note. One thing I don't remember them explaining was why there was a giant Egyptian statue on the island :nervouswreck:

Like everyone I was confused with the ending at first, but after watching it again and reading about what it's supposed to mean it makes more sense. Still a little confused about some things but that's the nature of Lost. Overall it was a great show and it is sad that it's gone. Will be remembered as one of my all time favorite TV shows that's for sure.
