=======================contains spoilers=========================

so i know they kindof explained jacks tattoo (fed 21 episode) but, his tattoo is not correctly written but when corrected and translated it means Eagles high up cleaving the space, Fish gliding above shallow ground. this is actually from a 1925 poem wrote by Mao Tse-tung.

Disappointing episode compared to last week, which was damn good. Can't say I give a flying fuck what Jack's tattoo meant.

Really good ep this week. Not much in the way of story advancement but there was some great humor and character interaction going on.

Major improvement over last week.

I liked last night's episode. It brought back many elements from Season 1, like faith and hope.

But yeah, guys. I agree with you about Jack's tattoos. What the f**k does it reveal, really? That he's a leader? Um, yeah? Duh! We knew that ever since "White Rabbit".

And also, rest in peace, Tricia Tanaka.

i disagree with everyone about this week's episode. i thought it was boring and pointless. just another load of crap to keep us on our toes until something else important happens on the island. i could seriously care less about hurley's past. watching his fat ass flop around all over the island bores the hell outta me. i guess the humor and the elements of hope and faith that were put into this episode were good but i dont think it ties into the actual important things that happen on the show. to be honest, i just wanna see jack and locke kick some "others" ass already. is that too much to ask?

I have to say, after the break I wasn't into Lost as much as I once was, but after watching episodes 7-9, in one night, I wanted to see more. Ten was good, can't wait untill 11 comes! I would also like to see Andrew Divoff come back, as Patchy some time soon. And also, I want to see the Monster return.

Biderbeck
03-02-2007, 06:53 PM
I knew the break was a bad idea... the show has dropped serverly. Its one thing to string folks along and as long as the storys are good it doens't matter. Now i Liked this Hurly ep it was light n funny and a needed break from the serious drama however they made us wait all this time and just gave us bullshit. They should have never taken a break and they should stop with the bullshit already and get on with it....

Knight

Or 'The Hitchhiker'...

Was rather enjoyable, but I'm pretty sure everyone was hoping for an immediate follow-up to the previous week's episode.

RustedChainsaw
03-31-2007, 11:36 PM
Meh. To me it was just filler. But I did like how they went back to the day of the crash and Jack's big speech about working together. Also, the discovery of The Pearl was sorta confusing. I had to think about it for awhile and put it together.

When they arrived at camp one at a time it reminded me of the ending to the old Disney movie The Incredible Journey.

RustedChainsaw
04-13-2007, 11:10 AM
I loved most of it. The end just kinda annoyed me because it seemed to spoil it all. Not spoil as in, giving things away, but it SPOILED the episode a lil'. Throughout the episode they try to get you to take Juliet's side, to make her sorta helpless and lonely, and then it twists it around and makes it all a damn conspiracy. Damn you to hell, Ben Linus! :cussing:

FrighT MasteR
04-14-2007, 10:07 PM
I don't really see the point in getting her on their side now since they did the whole undercover thing a couple times already. Unless they plan to have all-out war with the beach peeps or something.

Locke will be fine. The island has already miraculously un-paralyzed him... compared to that, a few gunshot wounds are nothing. I think misfit is right; he'll be out of the picture until the last or next-to-last episode of the season when he'll re-appear and do something dramatic

05-23-2007, 10:10 PM
if charlie really died, atleast like that i dont know how i could watch season 4.

it really doesnt make any sense, so im holding out hope that it isn't what it seems.

just like how you thought you were watching flashbacks and for a minute it looked like kate and jack knew each other before they got on the island only for you to find out it was the future, clever. only i dont get how in one of the flashbacks jack told the new cheif of staff to go see if his father was drunker then he was. I did miss season 2 and am in the middle of watching it but i dont know how they could work around the fact that he died.

well it looks like its possible that last 3 seasons will show what happened after they got off the island.

this shouldnt be the case as being on the island and not knowing what else is, who else or what the island is or does is part of the show. its a character, it has all the suspense and makes no sense for them to take them off the island, esspeically 3 fucking years before we know the show ends.

we will know 5 or so eps into next season.

also, for the remaining 3 seasons, its going to be 16 eps a season, this is abc stretching the show an extra year which is crazy. you can hardly get into it with that few, it be 8 eps, then 10 weeks off then another 8, if were lucky enough for them not to mess around with it.

Should just take the remaining 48 eps left, and do two more seasons, and if you wanted a third season have 24 more eps, dont take the amount of eps down because you want an extra year of episodes without actually spending any money to produce them.

Interesting finale and once again we get more questions than answers. I had a question about that submerged station -- since it was totally under water how was the water not able to flood the whole station since there's a huge open area for people to swim up from?

It's the same principle as sticking an upside-down empty glass into a tank of water. The air pressure keeps water from filling the glass.

I thought the finale was great. I have no idea what's up with Jack's father... he wasn't in the coffin on the island, and in the future Jack says "see if he's drunk..." I guess time will tell that one. As for Charlie, he had to die. It's just the way it is, Desmond made it clear. Unless Charlie wanted to go all Devon Sawa on this one, he figured it was best to end it there instead of cheating death a billion times. He had ample opportunity to escape the locked room, he just chose not too. I wanna rewatch the episode knowing that the flashbacks are future shots. Who's funeral was that in the future anyways? Ben, Lock..?

Theres still a bunch of questions that need answering:

what's the smoke monster?
who and what is Jacob?
what's this temple the others talked about?
what's with the island?

I reckon it was Sawyer in the coffin.

I felt like I was watching Baywatch in hell.

But you gotta love Hurley though, no matter what. I was also very pleased with the opener and it reminded me why I watch the show to begin with. I was worried with season three. IMO, it took to the season 3 finale for them to actually have a good show. Tonight's ep was great though.

Yeah, I think the flashforwards are a cool idea. We already know enough about all the main characters backstories from the first three seasons so there isn't really any need for anymore flashbacks. I just hope these flashforwards don't reveal too much.

Darkgod
02-17-2008, 03:25 PM
I was thinking Jack, but I also was falling asleep at the end. It was a cool ending though, and made Sayid more bad ass.

I always dug his... My name is Sayid.... and I am going to torture you.

Max Payne
02-17-2008, 11:39 PM
I think he's been pretty bad ass all along.

So clearly, right now, there setting up the Oceanic 6 are being hunted or harassed by people responsible for taking them off the island, and that Ben and his agenda was the "good" way all along.

It depends on how you describe good on Lost, cause even the good guys, Charlie, Saywer, Kate and Locke, have killed people and sometimes beyond reason. So just because Ben and his group are killing people, that obviously isnt a sole reason to say there bad.

But heres the deal, this is just a twist on what we know, and we dont know a whole lot more now then we did in the start, just that something happens between the new group and the Oceanic group that alligns the Oceanic group with Ben and his group.

It doesnt even mean there on the same side or good terms, just that there currently working together.

My theory would be, that the Oceanic 6 get off the island, and for some reason, other then guilt about those left behind, that not only want to go back, but HAVE to go back. So it really makes for some cool opertunities cause at some point, the future flashbacks we see now have to meet up with the current time line and at some point we wont even know how the people on the island and there flash backs the people off the island with there flashbacks/forwards will meet up to where its all in the current time line.

Its kind of hard to explain how I imagine it but Im sure you all have the same basic idea of how this is going to come together.

Obviously, whatever is going on the show, whatever it is that its working towards in the end, or the main plot for this whole thing, is still not even close to being known, we have no idea whats going to happen, and Im willing to bet, once we think we do, during that last episode, there will be twist on twist, that leads us back to something right from the start that makes it all make sense.

Should be blessed with this kind of writing, cause shows like this just dont exist on prime time all that often, if ever.

Misfit
02-18-2008, 12:09 PM
well we seen a funeral...so could one of the 6 be dead? we only seen 4 so far with the 5th being exposed next ep....
also sun needs to get off the island cause she is preggo and will die if not...is she one of the 6? does she die before the last season?......i dunno if many care but i like her character.

Max Payne
02-18-2008, 07:09 PM
To me, since we now know that just because 6 get off the island, doesnt mean thats it cause of the Ben situation.

My guess, and Ive had help with this theory is that Michael is the guy on the boat who is Bens source, and that Ben is prolly the guy in the box, sure as hope not, he is by far and above the best character on the show, driven by the excellent performance of Michael Emerson.

RustedChainsaw
02-19-2008, 12:19 PM
Hold on. Sayid is still badass even after he conforms to Ben? He sold out, in my opinion. And it's kinda sad that he's not with Nadia.

Hope we see Michael soon. :eyebrow2:

Max Payne
02-19-2008, 02:43 PM
You might think he sold out, but we dont even know why he is working with Sayid.

Ben might be agood guy, or he might be the lesser evil of two evils.

Last weeks episodes was great. I also think, just cause it says oceanic 6, I believe more then 6 are getting off the island. I dont think Ben is one of the 6. Also, I find it weird how eveyones saying different things. Like I think they said there were 8 survivors of oceanic flight besides Kate and Jack on the island, and obviously we know there are more.

Locke is a badass, man.

As for the different claims of how many survivors there were...obviously, there were more than six. More than ten. More than thirty. But they probably swore to secrecy over it. Jack was worried that Hurley would blab, probably in more ways than one.

next epiosde micheal returns...from the previews
got a feelin sun dies soon

Max Payne
03-06-2008, 10:03 PM
Im pretty sure Sun or Jin is the one in that coffin, assuming it isnt a Ben/Michael kind of deal.

I think Michael does return next episode, but I think its one of those deals where he just shows up, then "Lost" hits the screen, then the next episode prolly explains what happened from the last time we saw him until now, and maybe he was working with Ben long before we knew, who knows.

I dont like the fact that Desmonds ex father is this ultimate bad guy, there has to be more to this story, cause they have gone out of there way to connect everyone and anyone to the story. Does this mean Penny is bad? I doubt it, but does this mean she knows her father is looking for the island is going around killing people? Alot more questions and I dont know if I like this arch.

FrighT MasteR

You'd think it'd be easier to tell someone like Jack that their intention were to stop Ben from releasing that deadly gas instead of weaseling their way there. Of course, considering it's Lost, there's much more to it than simply stopping deadly gas. It's also weird how we haven't heard anything on this subject (from what I can remember) until now. :dsp:

You'd think it'd be easier to tell someone like Jack that their intention were to stop Ben from releasing that deadly gas instead of weaseling their way there.

No kidding. What's the harm in telling someone you're going to stop deadly gas? I mean what's Jack gonna friggin' say...

Faraday & Charlotte: Hey Jack, we're off to stop deadly gas from being released that will kill everyone on the island.

Jack (points gun at Faraday & Charlotte): No, I don't think that's a good idea.

:die:

I guess if they didn't pussy foot around everything then there wouldn't be a TV show in the first place.

Max Payne

or potentially there is more to it

charlotte is clearly the only real evil coming from the 4 from the boat that were on the island, i hate this character and hope she dies a painful death, she is annoying and cocky.

i like daniel and i think there is more to miles yet to come.

dont think sun or jin is the one in the coffin cause jack went to the funeral and kate said why would i go there?....and lets face itsun or jins death wouldnt be that much of a impact to have it a focal point to a season ender...although sun is my favorite character :ahheh:

I think you've confused yourself. DHARMA was the company that used to be on the island. Then Ben killed them off. Widmore's company is the one trying to find the island to exploit its powers.

That said, last night's episode had me laughing my ass off. So HILARIOUS in some parts. Kate getting knocked in the head? Ben receiving a handout from Locke? Not to mention his giddy side when having that "dinner party" with Juliet! Horny lil' humping rat! The beginning of that scene was the BEST. I mean, WOW. Ben was all, "Oh-em-gee! Glad jur here! Lemme just skip over to the oven and get the food! Tra-la-la-la-la!" Oh, and the end! Sawyer and Hurley were like, "What the f**k?" And we saw Tom again! Woohoo!

Very crucial episode, though. Now we know why Ben treated Juliet like a favorite, what the real deal was between Juliet and Goodwin (Oooh, a goooood win!), how all those chemicals that killed off the DHARMA folks were set off, and...perhaps the most important thing...WHO is trying to find the island! Ya believe that?! That guy...urrghh...

New theory after seeing "The Constant" again. Maybe the sickness that had driven the minds of Danielle's team crazy is similar to, if not the same as what Desmond and Minkowski experienced.

yea, while at work, i was actually thinking of this (when im bored my mind races with stuff like this sometimes)

It was a good episode. I just hoped we'd gotten some insight about Walt's time with The Others. They should've explained SOME-thing, even if it were very vague.

The ending was terrible! Now Sayid is a rat? WHAT? What the hell, man? The three of them should get some guns together and execute Ben's plan. Just start shootin' those asshole crew members down. Seriously, excluding Frank Lapidus, everyone on the boat is an idiot. Especially that doctor. And Danielle! What the hell kinda ending was that?! Why Danielle?!

Who was the woman at the end... did I miss something?

She was first seen in Desmond's past. When he was going to propose to Penny, she stopped him saying it wasn't his destiny. What he was supposed to do was end up on the island. So, in that notion, we can assume she has knowledge of who is supposed to go where and why. But seriously, all her universe talk confuses the hell outta me.

That scene where Locke shows up to save the day...man, that was cooool.

In theory the island could have been moved to a place/time when/where the inhabitants of the island were fourtoed or worshipped a being that had feet like that.

If there were WW1/2 soldiers on it at one time, ancient crazy shit isn't out of the question completely.

Yeah, THAT was a shock. Didn't see that coming at all. But I guess now it makes sense. Maybe he was a little too insolent, and had too many crazy ambitions to exploit the island, so Richard kicked his ass out! :point: That also explains the "nightmares" he was having. He's probably experiencing the same thing as Desmond did. They're not nightmares or dreams, but new memories provided by his encounters with Locke and the others.

then you going to be pissed, it was clear ben didnt go into that room intending to kill locke, the mere mention of ms. hawkings caused him to do it. the question is why? arguments can be made for both good ben and bad bed.

i love the episode, and locke episodes, terry is fantastic in the role. but i was quite disapointed in his interactions with the people off island, hugo was the only one who was surprised to see him, after he figured he wasn't dead. and we didnt even see kates reaction, kate of all people should be the one we got to see, since she was the one who least wanted to go back. that was lame.

Richard's presence has so much authority, doesn't it? He just walks into the DHARMA place like it's nobody's business. So cooool.

I had a feeling they'd be taking DHARMA jobs. I just wished Juliet was in a cafeteria servin' up grilled cheese sandwiches or something. That'd be a hilarious wink at the audience!

Whatever's going on with Locke and the new survivors doesn't seem to be tangled up with the time problem. If they were sent back to 1974 or 1977, which I doubt, they would've come across DHARMA folks working in the Hydra station they were using for shelter.

Ben dying as a kid would change pretty much everything about the show since Ben has had such a huge influence in how the course of events of the show have played out, the main one being the Dharma initiative would have never been wiped out and who knows how much different the present day island would be as a result. :hmmm:

When the flashes finally stopped and they ended up in 1974, Daniel was sulking over Charlotte's death. That episode was "LaFleur". Since then they just explained that Daniel was no longer with them, so whatever he was doing, he was gone for a long time.

Good episode. Had some action for a change and they actually gave us some straight-forward answers, a definite rarity for the series. :hmmm:

Hurley was funny with Dr. Chang, good episode. Didn't answer much, how the hell is Locke going to kill Jacob by the way.

Ya but ben supposedly got orders from jacob but has never seen him , or Richard is actualy Jacob.....or jacob could be someone that doesnt even exist made up by richard who never ages for some reason

All they did was show the statue, that's it. We don't know what it is, why it's there, or why it has 4 toes :stare:

Was joking about that stuff and I watch it every week, just saying they need to start answering more questions that's all.

I was hoping when they did all that time traveling on the island, they would of stayed long enough to see more of the statue and the people of that time. I hope at some point they address this.

So the final episode this season is only an hour? The previews didn't mention a 2-hour finale, which is a bit disappointing :(

I thought it said "Two hour season finale" after last weeks episode, 1 is not good enough.

I didn't see it say that, but I checked IMDB and it says next week will air two eps :smokin2:
