Right now, I'm play Mortal Kombat: Armageddon on the Wii.... So far I've only played it once and I wasn't digging the controls, but I was dead drunk... so I'll wait to see if that was a factor or not before passing judgement.

Luckily, it appears that if it turns out I don't like using the wii-mote, I have the option to use my game-cube controllers on the game. Definately a nice touch.

How is it? How much does it remind you of Diablo 2?

At first it felt completely different and ackward. Almost like an MMO. WoW style, town for quests, team portals like guildwars. The modifications to weapons like restricted area. The armors, to even skills kind of feels like D2 but different at the same time. Some monsters, the demon portals, the IDs, and lame quests all feel diablo-ish but I don't know man. At times it feels like a 3d diablo upgraded and other times it feels like a totally new game.

While the game is great and I'm definitely buying it and would hype it for others to buy I don't think it will have the lasting appeal and fun gameplay as D2 does. Why? because I can actually peal myself off it lol. 8.6/10 or so I'd give it

Stranglehold - Despite all of it's faults, pretty god damn fun. I could see myself playing through this a few times.

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts - Solid of course, but haven't played much. Seems a bit more difficult than the original game.

Sure its a good decade past its prime but its a guilty pleasure and there is still a very solid, albeit small community playing online. Granted when people talk smack to each other in the context of a 10 year old game, you know its kinda sad.

Game was more or less abandoned like any other game ends up being by then company Redstorm just like any other PC game after afew patches so in turn it has alot of glitches and its still susceptable to cheats but in the end, its still a fun game.

can't wait for the STALKER prequel, the first one was great, but there is no denying you could tell where corners were cut and where missed opportunities were, but it looks like the prequel is covering most of the bases that I wanted, for instance an actual turf war between the different factions that changes the control of the zone.

Yea that's the kind of missed opportunities I'm talking about. It's not a bad looking game, but it doesn't justify the fact that it's a bit of a system hog.

But with all the problems they had in develpment I'm glad the game at least got out.

If the original is any indication, i think The prequel is gonna be a really good game, now that they got an idea where they wanna go from here.

My system is really good so I didn't experience any problems with Stalker. Although, I did have a lot of issues when I was running a Pen 4 3.2ghz, 2gb ram, 7900GT on XP.

I'm replaying Hellgate because I didn't backup my save. Also still messing with Crysis. *My new setup can run Crysis on DX10 on high settings @ steady 40fps. max 70, lows 28. I can run DX10 Very High but my fps are around 30 and I'm not sure of the lows. so I'm pretty happy since DX10 on Vista is a killer and its smooth. I'm about to tweak DX9 and see how that goes

I'm still playing NCAA 08 trying to take Army from 1-star to 6-star prestige status. I picked them because they were a one star independent which meant it was easier to get a BCS conference invite achievement as well.

If you liked the first this one should keep you just as entertained as the first, they did a nice job adding new mechanics to the game without breaking the atmosphere and the tension the first game was so good at, granted I'm only about 30 minutes in so I got a lot of game to go, but I'm loving it, took about 10 minutes into the game to get me to jump a little.

just finished Devil May Cry 4. It was easy but what a fun game. It looks beautiful too. You only play as Dante about half the way through. The story is pretty good. I wouldn't mind another Devil May Cry. The villains were pretty cool, I really liked a lot of the bosses.

Finished Vegas 2, as good as I expected and the controls were very tight on the PS3. I finished the game as a Lance Corporal with an 8 in marksman, 7 in CQC, and 6 in Assault. I would play online for a higher rank but I got 4 other games to play through.

Playing through Army of Two now. What a great game! it lacks a bit of polish here and there but the gameplay works very well. Graphics are real good, and the story isn't too bad if you played a few Tom Clancy games. People complain the game is short and they might be right. The levels have a lot of checkpoints but overall the pace of the game is fast. even though there is a cover system you you don't really find too many parts where you are stuck exchanging fire too much since its a suppress+flank style combat ala Brothers in Arms.

Such a deep game.

Some people are still somewhat disappointed by it. Mostly tourney fags who are crying because they removed some cheap tactics from the game that were in Melee.

Its envietable especially in todays day in age for some to be disappointed in some game no matter how much it improved the series. Whether its from high expectations, sheer stubborness, just being a crybaby, nostalgia etc.

I look forward to the next entry in the franchise on Nintendos next gen.

Its tough to bitch about a game that has a completely overhauled singleplayer with over 30 levels, 90 minutes of quality cutscenes featuring a vast array of characters including ones you'd never thought you'd see in the same game (Snake and Sonic) in a believable singleplayer storymode.

Add to that a great multiplayer. While the Wii online, friend codes in general are nothing to write home about. It gives hope for the future of a series like this for next gen. Sky is the limit.
