Rented God of War, Metal Gear Solid 3: Substinence and Bully from Gameznflix and bought ESPN NFL 2K5 and Final Fantasy XII. MGS is seeing the most playtime as of now.

Also revisiting Castlevania: SOTN and Final Fantasy Tactics via PSX emulator.

PC - Just finshed Jade Empire. Anyday now I'll be playing Stalker

360 - NBA 2k7 (season. I traded Hughes, Varejao and some center for Kobe. omg Lebron and Kobe on the same team), Crackdown (orb hunting). I'm still on occassion playing Lost Planet, N3, Gears, and R6V. My next game here wont be til May. I'll be playing then The Darkness, Mass Effect, and maybe Two Worlds.

PS2 - DMC 3 (beat others already. 2 wasnt a bad game it was just too different from Part 1), and next week God of War 2.

Currently playing the shit out of:

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - at first I didn't want to get into that game because of how big and immersive it is, but damnit, I got a little curious now I can't stop playing it

Gears of War - always, nothing beats playing a lag free game and pwning some whiney pussies with your buds as team mates

Rainbow 6: Vegas - anybody who has played this game knows, it's multiplayer is next to the best, different from Gears of War action style, more team oriented and strategic IMO, but still one hell of a game

Geometry Wars: Evolved - best arcade title out on any system right now, no lo contendre

Crackdown - orb hunting like ol Driden. They were everywhere at first and I have over 400 so they're rare as hell now. Multiplayer on that game is amazing too.

Soon to be Bio Shock, Virtua Tennis 3, Guitar Hero 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (if all goes well and I get my new computer), Mass Effect, etc. etc.

Not hearing good things about Icon, and I enjoyed Fight for NY. IGN (which I don't really trust the critics, but I rely on IGN far more than any other site) gave it a decent 7 rating for the 360, and a 6.7 for the PS3 (I'm thinking lack of rumble feature, I don't know for sure). Now that games are over $60, I'm a lot more picky about what I buy, so I'm thinking this is a definate rental.

Personally I think the PS2 dual shock is the greatest controller ever produced. I bought a PS2 to USB converter off ebay for around $15 and it works amazing as a PC gamepad.

The dual-shocks analog design was rubbish when playing FPSs. They felt awkward and unresponsive and I actually spent more time messing with the sensitivity than I did playing. The 360 controller can't be beat when playing FPSs, and I'm starting to like it more for other things as well. Dual Shock is still one of the best controllers around for just about everything else though.

I'll be the first to admit that the original xbox controllers and gamecube controllers couldn't even stand against the dual shock except for FPSs.

Maybe it's just because I have big hands, and you know what they say about guys with big hands.

I was using a Razer Diamondback before it died and I loved the mouse to death, its about time to pick up another one. Now I'm using a $10 Logitech Laser mouse which isn't too bad. I have the sick G15 keyboard though. :coolbeer:

I tried to finsh beating an old game Gladius but once I put it in I remembered why I stopped playing. It's FFT meets Gladiator but with painfully long combat that's time and button sensitive that can be sooo frustrating.

the easiest way to lv up is when the game give you the NPC(at the time) its also good to use them on the side missions

The bounty hunter lizards that you fought in the gladiator ring when you lost your gear? I think I'm almost there or around there. I'm at the Lhusu Mines currently lvl 11 and broke as hell. I got lost a few times and wasted all my pots. I fought the Mimic Queen without 1 potion or dawn, it was a pretty satisfying win.

I'm having the hardest time deciding who I want in my party. I've been doing great with Vaan, Fran, and Ashe but Basch is just as good as Ashe. Penelo sucks. Balthier has a lot of hp for his level. I have him 6 levels behind. I pulled him out of retirement to help me kill the boss Garuda that flies in the Tomb and he fricken tanked better than Vaan omg. Who you guys using? I wish I could keep Vossler all the time.

So anyway.. I bought a new game today.
It's called Evidence: The Last Ritual.
It's a series of extremely hard puzzles with really obscure answers that will surely piss you off if you didn't have the link to the walk through. For sure.
I don't know if I like it yet. It's like nothing I've ever played.
It lets you use the internet to search for the answers.. via web sites and you get actual emails from fictious charcters.
And instead of animated characters.. you have the puzzle screens and then you have films of people (like short one minute films)
Do you get what I'm trying to say?
I don't know what they call this type of game. But it's rather interesting.

I'm on my way to the King's tomb right now in that really annoying area with all the sand critters and no friggin' save areas. Almost got torn a new asshole a few times by those balls of light that like to cast Firaga on your entire party.

Primarily using-

Vaan for tanking / pure attacking (Cypress Pole) - level 20
Boesh for stealing / attacking (Handaxe) - level 20
Fran for stealing / long range attacking (Killer Bow) - level 19

Also have quite a few HP and magic attack upgrade licenses per character.

Basch - 14 (Support Tank with Iron Sword, future 2h Excaliber/Zodiac user)
Balthier 10 (Gun)

Now I made Basch (17) Spears and he's doing more dmg now. And using Balthier (12), he's hitting for 200-250ish with his vega gun. Along with Vaan (17) with Ancient sword and Fran (16) with killer bow, I bring her in to heal then sub her out to cut potion use while grinding these midgets.

Been using the Cypress Pole for awhile which is the best overall weapon I've come across at this point. 33 attack plus added Earth damage plus 25 evade (which is better than any shield I've come across). Really good offensive and defensive weapon.

The Handaxe I have Boesch using is pretty devastating, but inconsistent. Sometimes the damage is 600+ and other times it's below 100...

Ok not only did I beat Demon Wall but I ate his lunch. Had all 6 characters with two Quickenings each, but got lucky to where I pulled off a 12 hit combo which took him down to critical and didn't need to switch characters.

Driden, not sure if you're still stuck or whatever but that's probably the easiest way to own his ass. It did take me a few tries to get down the Quickening chain.

If you beat him, you can get a few Demonsbane swords that have like 58 attack power.

I was stuck there yesterday until I leveled up to about 18ish and decided to say 'fuck it' and tried again even though someone told me to try at lvl 25. I increased the battle gauge time on the config settings so I can attack faster, I used two handers (spears), went all melee, and equipped those amulets that make you immune to blind and I killed the second wall. I ran from the first. Supposely if you kill the first wall you got a 70% chance to spawn a chest and a 22-50% chance it'll have a demon sword that has +59 attack. People at gamefaq said after killing him they tried reloading each time checking for the sword and one dude did this for 2 hours! guess its pretty rare.

I'm not going to bother. Theres better weapons out there evenually. I just got the Dawn Shard from the Tomb, killed some bosses and now I'm headed to Giza Plains area. I'm lvl 22. I should probably grind some levels around the tomb killing those sand raiders. Doesn't this game feel like Guildwars? Hopefully I can squeeze in some hours this weekend. If you get ahead of me even better than I can ask you for advice!

Oh the room with the 3 lights in the center and 2 doors in the north and 2 in the south? You go in the south and work your way into the middle of the maze, touch the jewel, then touch the level. it should teleport you to the center. Do that again but this time the north. After that. Go into the center room with 3 lights and touch one of the ones in the back (I hit the left one) and in the room where you touched the jewel should be a secret passage that isnt on your map. i.e 3 paths, map shows 2. Follow the passage to a door and your done.

So anyway.. I bought a new game today.
It's called Evidence: The Last Ritual.
It's a series of extremely hard puzzles with really obscure answers that will surely piss you off if you didn't have the link to the walk through. For sure.
I don't know if I like it yet. It's like nothing I've ever played.
It lets you use the internet to search for the answers.. via web sites and you get actual emails from fictious charcters.
And instead of animated characters.. you have the puzzle screens and then you have films of people (like short one minute films)
Do you get what I'm trying to say?
I don't know what they call this type of game. But it's rather interesting.

This is a really old game I'm bringing up here, but for nostalgia, just wondering if anyone else remembers...it was out a long time ago, and it was about Elvira.
You had to go through movie sets to solve puzzles and pick up bits and pieces for spells and stuff. There was a haunted house, a cemetery and crypt, mines with giant worms, Elvira's dressing room, and something else...can't remember. I remember you had to collect Elvira's stockings for some purpose...I remember my dad buying it for me and me staring at the cover, absolutely in awe of her...even now...she's still damn fine.

Now I made Basch (17) Spears and he's doing more dmg now. And using Balthier (12), he's hitting for 200-250ish with his vega gun. Along with Vaan (17) with Ancient sword and Fran (16) with killer bow, I bring her in to heal then sub her out to cut potion use while grinding these midgets.

Rainbow Six: Vegas is definately badass on the 360. I like it more then GRAW 2.

Halo 2. I just started playing this again. A couple friends of mine got a new place and set up two 360's with the link cable and they have two 60 inch TVs. Get 4 people together and it's a blast trash talking in team games from another room.

Mine probably has something to do with the fact that I have a cheap surround sound system too, but mostly it's because of the HD video lag. How they remedied it was that they made the margin of error longer, so if you hit a note late (because I listen to the music and barely pay attention to when the "notes" go across the line) it gives it to you instead of makes you miss it. Bullshit. They needed to technically fix it, calibrate the lag so that the audio comes when it lines up with the notes. Lazy mother fuckers.

I'm on that quest right now, problem with vampirism is that it is just more trouble than it is worth. It just hinders you too much and helps you too little.

I just finished playing a zombie rouglike game. It was sweet creating barricades, and beating the shit out of zombies with vacuum cleaners. If you don't mind rougelikes then you should check it out. It is called Zomband.

For those of you who are vampires in Oblivion there was a mod that altered the game to make it more fun. The longer you stayed a vampire you got stronger, gained skills, moved faster and so forth. In the day you wore a necklace to deflect sunlight from damaging you. I don't know if it still works or whatever but you might want to look for it if you want more fun out of being one.

whenever he tries to ram you in the tunnels try to make him hit a wall so he has to back up, should give you a chance to swipe his ass with a katana or knife. or shoot him with the Uzi. That's how I did it. Though you don't have to actually beat him, you just have to collect the bombs.

open spaces are trickier since he throws the grenades, it's best to just grab the bombs and run like hell, then try to beat him in the tighter corridors.

Been playing Call of Duty 3, but no online. Single player campaign is same old stuff, even though I think it's executed better than previous installments. There are some serious technical glitches though.

Its a mix between God of War and Ninja Gaiden. It's more advanced like you have 3 stances (ranged (chained blades), Speed (blade), Power (huge sword), dodging and counter moves. So its like a fighting game within an adventure game. Its really fun and looks amazing. Voice acting and lip sync is top. The demo is short though. The scripted moves are awesome.

Sounds pretty freakin' sweet. It's games like Heavenly Sword that make me wish all three companies would just end the console wars and make one badass console.

Well maybe when the PS3 gets some more titles and the prices goes down I'll look into purchasing one.

Postal 2 - Beat it in one sitting today. A decent game I will be playing through out the week since I got the expansion pack for free.

Nethack - Fucking impossible, is all I have to say. I'll be playing this game for eternity.

Guitar Hero 2 - Two songs left on expert and then I'm going to five star hard.

Oblivion - Time to mod the bitch and actually play it on the PC.

Bomberman Live - This game is fucking fantastic. It will keep me occupied in the XBLA for awhile.

Half-Life 2 - I'm playing through it a third time. I just love this game.

NCAA 08 - Doing Campus Legend mode right now. Basically you create your own character at any position you want (I did QB) and you start at the high school championships in whatever state of origin you picked. You play only at that position, and if you do well you become a 5-star prospect and get picked up by just about anybody you want. I did horribly and got 4th string Southern Miss. But you can practice and move up in the depth chart so I was starting by the third game of my freshmen year. I'm halfway through my sophomore year and I have all QB records except all-time career and I have the NCAA record for most rushing yards in a game (at QB!) and of course for USM. My freshmen year we were ranked 7th and played 6th ranked Hawaii (their passing game in NCAA 08 is insane) in the Sugar Bowl, which I blew them away.

The Dynasty is fantastic as well, this is easily one of the best football games I've ever played.

My next thing is to go for the "1 star prestige into a 6 star prestige school" in dynasty mode. I will have to recruit my ass off, but it'll be fun.

I've got Trauma Center: Second Opinion and The Bigs for my Wii coming in from Gamefly soon.

Mario 64 DS, i'm addicted again, and the added characters and levels makes the whole thing more worthwhile.

A few days ago, I went to the two thrift stores in Buxton. The first one was the new one that supports Locomotion. And the second store was the Hotline.

Together, I've found:

* You Don't Know Jack Volume 2 (but the case was empty :-()
* You Don't Know Jack Volume 3 (played it, and loved it)
* You Don't Know Jack Volume 4 (installed it, haven't played it yet)
* Final Conflict, which is an RTS which has NO INFO ON THE NET WHATSOEVER
* The Game of Life. Never played the board game, but I may want to buy the actual game now
* Myth: The Fallen Lords (haven't touched it yet)
* Street Fighter the Movie for the Saturn. I already had it, but mine didn't have a real case or the instructions. This one had both AND a copy of Fighting Vipers inside. Haven't tested either, yet.


I also scored the ISO for Marathon 2: Durandal off of the official website (http://trilogyrelease.bungie.org/). I needed to find a serial number, though. Pretty good. And the second and third Marathon games, via Aleph One. And a few originals, also via Aleph One.

And I'm also playing two games I've found on Underground Gamer (http://www.underground-gamer.com). Both were done with MUGEN. The first is The Brotherhoods and features various Capcom and SNK characters, along with some Marvel characters and a few characters from Mortal Kombat (done via sprite editing). And the second is Marvel vs Capcom vs SNK vs DC, which features Marvel, Capcom, SNK, and DC characters, along with others, like Spawn.

ive seen all types of mugen characters online, with crazy stuff like simpsons and family guy characters..

Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Amazing use of the controls, but gets old after a while. Still very challenging, which is good. The cutscenes are annoying but the gameplay definately makes up for it.
