Paradise Murdered

This is a South Korean mystery-thriller that'll be released on DVD in Korea later this month. The premise is interesting -- it's about a small island that inhabits only 17 people, and when a grizzly murder happens, the whole village becomes mad with suspects. It starts off as two detectives get to the island after everyone has killed each other, so the movie is told in one long flashback. It would have been more interesting to see flashbacks periodically as the detectives found clues while they investigated the island.

The film was interesting from the start, especially with the creative premise, but the execution wasn't that great. The killer is easily guessed early on, despite a lot of the twists that they threw our way. Regardless, it was an interesting mystery.

Thought that since many were interested in the South Korean serial killer flick, Our Town, that I'd bump this post up encase someone wanted to take a look at this as well.

I'm glad you did bump it. This looks pretty cool. I'll have to find it somewhere. I still haven't seen Our Town or Memories of Murder but I've recently been enjoying other serial killer films and enjoying them.
