I can't believe John Locke was the Stepfather!! of course I haven't seen the original for I don't know how long!

im a little upset that they are remaking this movie, i thought terry o'quinn did an awesome job as the stepfather and i dont know if another person can pull it off like he did, just my opinion tho!

I think that The Stepfather is the kind of movie that needs a remake. Sure, the original was good and Terry O'Quinn rocked it with the script he was given, but it's a little-seen (straight to video, if i'm not mistaken) flick that had a lot of potential to be much better (the ending, for example). If they play their cards right and get a good cast with a very solid script focusing on the tension before the kills rather than making it a bloodbath schlockfest, it could be really good.

It wasn STV, it was theatrical. I remember my mom seeing it. Anyway I dont think its bad to remake cause not many people have seen the original, or the sequal. But the original is damn good. I remember it scared me when I was akid.

just seems like a smaller movie that has already been cast....seems like they would push it out quicker than that.
