if the poster is any indication of the pictures in the movie it can still be a powerful and engrossing film.

Saw the movie this weekend and I must say I loved it. Here's my review.


She Was Asking For it

The film begins with the man looking at himself in a mirror making twisted faces and playing with his instruments of death. We are then flashed back into why he is the way he is and get treated to a scene of how he met these women and what exactly they did to him. There is bondage & torture. He's beaten and raped and forced to take part in their fetishes.

This abuse leads the man to be psychologically damaged and wants nothing more than to take revenge on these women.

The pain and suffering of the man is so vividly present. From the moment the credits begin we are shown images of a man being mistreated and disrespected by gorgeous dominating women. A sense of power and enjoyment of his pain is clear as they knee him in the ribs, slap him silly and force him to suck their strap-ons. After which they use to rape him.

Surprising the music fits quite well with each scene and really adds to the experience rather than take over. While there is a lot of flashbacks they are not distracting nor confusing. During an assault on one of these women we are presented with flashbacks of what she did to him in an almost The Crow like fashion showing his motivation.

Being artistic there is a lot of powerful scenes captured. The moment one of the ladies knows she's going to die there is an incredible picture as she tries crawling away from him with fear in her eyes as he looks on with an emotionless face. Her cries are almost heard then you get a sense of his pleasure from him.

Majority of the time we are seeing him stalking, beating, and shoving dildos inside them before he cuts them open. You will not get a feeling of disgust or pleasure but justice. The blood is decent and done tastefully not overly done like most films tend to do.

She Was Asking For It is one of the better indie films I’ve ever seen that is worth every second spent watching. Though short, it does not leave you feeling empty or cheated in fact, it leaves you feeling very satisfied and content. The pacing of film is incredibly well done. You would think everything would be rushed but it’s not. The characters personalities come through very well with facial expressions and gestures that are almost as perfect as the colors and atmosphere.

I found She Was Asking For It to be a wonderful experience and very easy on the eyes. Foot fetish is boss here. If you have a thing for legs or feet this film can excite you as both actresses are hot and are not shy to show you what they got.

One has to wonder just how much better this could have been with a larger budget, voice acting or more runtime to expand. Matthew Saliba could possibility be the next big thing horror needs. I look forward to his future works.
