Soo I went out on a limb and bought this movie withot reading any reviews... I have to say that I was a fan of the first one, I thought it was a great Cannibal movie. But this one blew it out of the water! The cannibals and deaths were amazing. The acting was beyond bad, but the deaths made up for it! Everyone must check this one out! It is worth having in your collection.

Easy 8/10..

I thought this one has a lot more bad ass gore effects then the first one.

The ending at the dinner scene kinda reminds you of TCM.

This was so much worse than Wrong Turn.

The gore for the most part looked cheap. Every chance they
had to show a really tricky effect they paned out.
We end up seeing the aftermath of a few kills not the money shots.
What happened to the good old days, when Savini delivered great close up effects with less budget.

What is the purpose of a mutant sex scene? They look awful and it seemed juvenille.
Was this directed by the guy who did Feast, because thats the only other mutant fuckfest flick i've seen.

The Descent, THe Hills Have Eyes, High Tension, Session 9, SAW, Non Ho Sonno, are all films that cater to a more mature audience.

Mutant masterbation and mutant sex I....well I could have done without that. And there were a couple of CGI blood shots that I didn't understand. Its Wrong Turn people, use some practical special effects. But all in all it was worth renting, better than a lot of DTV crap out there. It didn't really take itsself to seriously which made it not creepy at all, unlike the first one to me. But if you like the first one. You won't like this one as much, but you'll still enjoy it.

Look at Regan fucking herself with the crucifix in Exorcist...and she was a little girl. We are subjected to lots of gross shit in horror. It goes with the territory.

The first is still one of my favorite horror movies of all time for some reason. This one was pretty good I thought for a straight to DVD. I mean the acting wasn't great but I think it was a decent watch on Halloween. The first kill I thought was awesome.

So I finally got around to seeing this. I'm mixed. The story and characters were crappy. The acting was okay though, and the gore was pretty good. I wish they would have made the mutants more "in the shadows" like in the first though. Seeing them up front took away any scare factor.

I watched it last week and really was surprised by it. I like that most of it took place during the day and how it introduced some new characters.
