Slamdance Horror Script Contest?

Anyone ever submitted to this competition? Deadline for this one is early November and I'm thinking about submitted one or two of my scripts.

Are you kidding? That's cheap compared to others. Sure I've seen lower, but it's not that bad.

Oh, don't get me wrong I wish you the best of luck but the contest does seem a little shady. It looks to me that you'll send off a script, real good or real bad + the money, and 2 weeks later you'll get some generic letter saying you weren't chosen. However I haven't heard of many of these writing contests so perhaps I'm just talking out of y ass, lol.

If it is shady, it's been around for a while then. I remember reading about it in high school when I first wanted to get into screenwriting, plus I've seen ads for it in Script magazine and others. I do my homework ;o)

This one of the cheaper ones. Cost for reading is going up drasticly.
